Great for younger free readers.
My seven year old is way above her reading age and loves these books. She has read the whole book in an hour or so. She loves the story that much that she has begged me to buy the rest!!

5 year old loves this series
Sweet series of books with lovely illustrations. My daughter loves them. As an adult reading them out loud at bedtime, they are quite hard going but clearly they hit the spot with the target audience. Good vocab used with lots of new words for my daughter to learn.

6 year old SON loved this one too. We now have dens set up as the Moon Chestnut Tree or the hollow log.

Bit trippy but kids like them
I started reading these to my 7 year old daughter.Eventually she started reading them for herself.Imagine her surprise when she found that in the original version the girls turned into owls don't fly around the woods spotting woodland creatures and thinking, "Mmm, lunch", but make friends with them instead!
