Cute! I thought Strawberry Shortcake would smell like usual, but this doll doesn’t. Other than that disappointment, I think it’s like the one I had 40 years ago.

SSC nostalgia got to me in seeing this being offered. I love the set and that the doll is ball jointed allowing for poses. Build quality is more for adult handling than for kids. We have zero issues with her falling apart but I know other reviews have complained.

The Walmart near me was sold out and I turned to Amazon. This is a gift for my 6 year old granddaughter for helping me with chores. It was the same price as Walmart and it's what she wants.

The doll is cute but barely has a scent. I like the oven and accessories, especially the little strawberries. However, my cake mix and icing were hard and dry. I mixed in a little water, and that did not help. It only made the product separate, so I had to throw all of that away.

My daughter loves it. The only complaint I have is the putty for making the cakes is dried out. We used Playdough instead.

Definitely worth the buy ..I don’t even want to open up the package.. 💯 percent satisfied

I'm frustrated with these Loyal Subjects Strawberry Shortcake dolls!I'm an adult collector of dolls. I ordered both this bakery doll set and also the other SSC remake doll that comes with various accessories.The doll in the bakery set arrived snapped in half! The torso is in two pieces to make her twist for posing, but the doll arrived broken. I've tried putting it back together, but it breaks again if I pick up the doll. The other SSC remake doll's leg keeps popping off, the doll that comes with the various accessories.I had been considering ordering additional dolls for my friend's 10-year-old daughter. After seeing the dolls in person, however, I see that no child should be playing with these dolls. They break so easily a child of any age (and any adult!) will become frustrated that the limbs keep snapping off and the doll keeps falling in two at the waist!Also, both dolls are advertising as smelling like strawberries. I guess the factory forgot to add the scent, because both of these dolls smell like any other doll. There is no strawberry scent at all. I'm very sensitive to scents, and even I can't smell any hint of strawberry at all. Just plastic.I was hoping, based on the product photo, that the apron was removable so she could wear the dress without the apron. Turns out they are attached. The apron is not only sewn to the dress but sewn into it, so there's no way I can do some snipping to remove it. I'd have to resew the whole middle of the dress.The doll's hair is very soft. That's really the only good thing that can be said about the doll itself.The hat does not fit. You either balance it on top of her head and hold her very still, or you have to pull the hat down to cover her eyes. There is no in-between due to the size of the hat's opening preventing the hat from staying on the correct part of the head.The accessories are nice. The oven has a pretty strawberry vine pattern on the back. The little plastic cream dollops and strawberries are cute.I'm not planning to use the dough. I just don't like messy things. The dough feels like Play-Doh except very VERY soft.I have ordered another of each of the SSC dolls, so I'll see if those also arrive broken. Maybe I'm just unlucky and both dolls I ordered are broken. If my replacement dolls are also broken, I give up on the Loyal Subjects company. "Loyal", ha. Loyal to whom? Not loyal to the memory of Strawberry Shortcake, and not loyal to the memory of the well-made toys we had back then! Glad I still have all of my old ones from 40 years ago!EDIT: I thought I'd try again. I ordered another doll, planning to return whichever was the more-broken doll. The replacement is worse than the first. And she has black spots on her arm, and the strawberry on her hat is sewn on crooked and off to the side. Still no scent, either. The doll needs to be pulled from shelves and re-hauled before being re-released. I hope the other characters they plan to release this year aren't in this same bad condition.
