Lifesaver for inventory
Bought this to prep for our inventory that was coming up. This scanner is probably the best scanner I have used. The range on it is absolutely amazing. It scans bar codes as well as QR codes and I haven’t gotten an error yet. Prepped an entire bookstore with it and the battery lasted an entire 8 hour shift. The only improvement that I think could be made it having a digital battery monitor. It does have a barcode you can scan and it will tell you the batter level on your spreadsheet or wherever you are scanning information to. But that can get a little annoying since you have to scan it and then erase the info from your spreadsheet. But again this is a small problem and wouldn’t prevent me from buying another one. It seems durable because I accidentally knocked it off of the counter and it didn’t not break. Definitely recommend if you have a lot of scanning to do.

Sturdy Scanner that is ready to use.
This is a nice sturdy scanner that works well. The biggest issue I have had with it is that over time if the base is moved frequently, the bluetooth module in the base will come loose, this is easily fixed by taking the base off and plugging it back in since it is just a USB dongle in there. My only other issue is that pairing can be frustrating if you are dealing with multiple scanners and are not familiar with the manual.

Great For DL Scanning
THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST AND ONLY SCANNER I TRIED WITH DL SCANNING! Works perfectly with EZ Online FFL. This is the scanner recommended by EZ Online FFL. It is able to parse a drivers license PDF417 2d code exactly like EZ Online FFL needs it to be parsed: each piece of data (i.e. first name, DL number, etc) is on one line, as opposed to all the data being on one continuous line. I tried four other lower cost (about half or even less money) 2D scanners and they all could READ PDF417 but couldn't parse it into the separate lines needed to make it simpler to actually use the data for filling in a 4473 (or any other form you want to automatically complete. Now I'm not suggesting this would work to fill in ANY form; I'm sure there has to be some set up involved in getting the PDF417 data pieces into the correct box on your form, but it is 100% plug and play with EZ Online FFL. Gosh why didn't I just go with the recommended reader rather than wasting all that time looking for a lower cost alternate? If you need to adjust the angle of the stand, look on the bottom and you will see a tab button at each side panel. push in on one of the tabs to then slide out/off one side panel and you will then see how to tilt the stand by 45* eezy peezy. I suspect 1D barcodes will be much easier to use while working on simplifying inventory tracking, and that is probably where "tab" vs "carriage return" programming will come into play for jumping to the next box or the next item or line for your inventory spreadsheet (or whatever). I am 100% fully satisfied with the 2D performance of this scanner. Now on to figuring out how to get it to make fast work of filling in customer's data on a Form 4 application. I can't speak to it's bluetooth capabilities or the wireless com distance limits. But the base is clearing charging the scanner as it sits there in the cradle and when I pull the scanner out to use the base light turns green showing it is connected via the long distance 433 signal. This is how it was working straight out of the box - truly plug and play.

Stopped working after a year
We bought 10 of these. They all worked great. After about a year they started breaking 1 by 1. Anytime we try and scan something it beeps three times. I've looked in the manual and tried resetting default settings but I can't fix it. We've had about 4 of them give out now with the same issue. If someone can provide a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. If not, these will all be going in the trash and we'll be buying a different model.

Excellent scanner
Works well, I like that it has a buz that you feel. Often I’m away from the computer and the environment is VERY loud so you can’t hear the computer. It will buz (feel it buz) so you know it accepted the scan.

Absolute Trash
Bought this a year or so ago, worked okay for one or two codes here and there but today is the first time I tried to use it for bulk scanning. Wasted the morning trying to scan in several boxes of laptops, only to have to do it again and again before finally giving up. The scanner does not scan the bar code that it’s aimed at, it insists on scanning the code above or below it. What’s the point of using a red target dot if the scanner is going to ignore it? I grabbed another scanner that uses a target bar and it worked flawlessly. Threw it in the trash because it is trash. I also tried to find the programming codes to remove the prefix S but the codes did not work. Waste of money.

THIS PRODUCT IS BASICALLY TRASH
At face value, this seemed like a great purchase. But once in use, I found it to be mediocre at best. Disclaimer: I'm a small business owner with a lot of inventory, and I am not interested in the costs of scanning systems that are meant for billion dollar warehouses. PROS: the info screen and storage mode. CONs: (a) Connections - there is no way to direct connect to PC. The BT connection sucks from both sides (PC and Scanner). The only half decent way to connect is using the base as the 433 wireless connection. No small dongle comes with the unit. The base charger unit is bulky with long wire, so transport by carrying with laptop is crappy. (b) Data Transfer - The beauty of Storage Mode SHOULD be that one could leave the PC behind and gather UPCs then return to transfer to whatever 'bucket' is needed. This quality of this functionality with this device is LOWER than DISMAL. As I write this, because I just performed an inventory on my showroom. The device shows 1401 entries. As I collected and watched the screen, every scan showed perfect read. The attached image shows a representative example of how the transfer performed. The # of records txfr varied as I made several attempts. The UPCs (for my inventory are either 12 or 13 char. This part is dismal. The only successful method I've found is having a laptop posted in the center of the space with the base charging unit attached and use the Scanner on NORMAL. Because of the pathetic data transfer functionality, the Storage setting is also LOWER than DISMAL. The 2-star rating is for the screen and the Normal mode. Everything else is JUNK JUNK JUNK.
