Fast and easy test to monitor Vitamin C levels
I got this test kit to check my Vitamin C levels because I don't often eat citrus and I was wondering if I was getting enough C in my other foods. I also hadn't taken a multi-vitamin for awhile so I thought it would give me a valid test since I would prefer getting vitamins from proper food intake rather than relying on supplements. The test provides good instructions and is very fast and simple to take. Within a few moments I had the results that showed I have high levels of Vitamin C, which I think is important to combat colds. There are 30 test strips in this kit, so I will regularly test to be sure I stay on the high side. Mine came with a generous expiration date of 1/30/26 so I have a long time frame to use them. At a little over 50 cents a test, I think it is a very cost effective way to monitor Vitamin C status so you can adjust your diet or supplements as needed.

So timing dependent as to be meaningless
I'll be honest, I find these to be a bit silly.First off, unless you're doing a 24 hour urine collection at home (and please don't), your vitamin C excretion for any given pee is going to be dependent on the last time you had a big dose from something like a multivitamin or giant glass of orange juice. Secondly, the package insert clearly states that these are not intended for any kind of diagnosis or treatment, and there is no control line like a lateral flow test has. Keep in mind that the amount of vitamin C excreted in urine won't necessarily tell you anything about the levels of vitamin C in your blood. You could have "low" vitamin C in a urine sample because of low intake, or because your body is making use of the vitamin C you consumed. That being said, if you want to use these for fun, go right ahead. They're pretty easy to use - just dip and watch the color change like a pH strip does.

So Easy!
This was so easy to use. It works very similar to ph testing strips if you are familiar with those. The results were easy to compare to the guide. No issues!

I love the idea of these strips
Of course, I have no way of knowing how accurate they are and vitamin C levels can vary greatly over a short period of time.Earlier today, I took a vitamin C capsule, plus I took a multivitamin with vitamin C in it. When I used the test strip a few minutes ago, it did say my vitamin C was "high". Obviously, it is not the same as a blood test, but at least one can get a rough overview. There are 30 strips and the instructions are included on the bottle along with the chart to compare your strip. They are very easy to use and at $15.99 a bottle (price at time of this review), they aren't unreasonably priced. Lot#, manufacturing date, and expiration date are stamped on the bottom of the box.

Adjusting your Vitamin C
The strips were long enough to simply use without worrying about getting your hands wet. The instructions written on the bottle are simple to follow. The strips for me were still not uniform in color, the outer boarder would usually be lighter/darker than the middle so it was a bit difficult to estimate what range I was really in. Though the ranges for the strips were hard to pinpoint, the main color did change when extra oranges were eaten versus less. This can at least give you a good look at how much citrus you need for your body's range to rise. The app did not really work for me, I was never actually able to record my strips as the app kept stating an error had occured/strip was not recognized. I attempted focusing the camera more/ getting a close up/reinstalling the app but I still received the error message.

Find out if you are getting all the Vitamin C you need!
I like the idea of being able to monitor vitamin levels at home without the need for an expensive lab test so when I saw these Vivoo Vitamin C Test Strips I didn’t hesitate to give them a try. I take a lot of vitamins and supplements to accommodate my keto diet. I even take a multivitamin that supposedly includes 220 mg of Vitamin C daily. So I was surprised to find that my first test with the test strip showed I was low in Vitamin C. I started supplementing with an additional 500 mg of Vitamin C twice a day and tested again after a few days. This time the test showed I was in the high range, so problem solved! I wish they made more of these home test for other vitamins.
