Scillies crime
Really enjoying these murder crimes set in isles of scillies. Easy to read but intriguing. You think you know whodunnit then there's a twist

A bit far-fetched plot
I enjoyed reading the story - the characters and life on the little island - but I really must say that the plot is a bit far-fetched - a bit too fantastical. I read it to the end but actually I couldn't really say I understood why somebody did what. Couldn't quite see the sense in the plot and the ending.

An enjoyable read
I bought this book as I was going to St. Mary's in the IOS and thought this would be a interesting read. As a guide book it was very interesting as was the story. I enjoyed the pace of events and experienced first-hand the sense of closeness the islanders have. If I have a criticism it's that I find there are too many red herrings and false leads to deal with, and the eventual culprit seems, well, just unlikely really. But we'll written, and the story did carry me along.

A Brilliant Series
Ben Kitto is deputy police commander on the Isles of Scilly and together with his dog solves all the crimes regardless of how difficult they are. This time I was convinced I had worked out who the murderer was, but again I was fooled. Young women are being killed and dressed in a bridal dress. With his boss forever on his back (I think I would have told him where to go by now) Ben and his small team work it out in the end. This was a great read and I have started on the next book already.
