'Make It Big' is exactly what WHAM! had done by the time they released their second album in 1984. Featuring the hit singles 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go', 'Everything She Wants' 'Freedom and 'Careless Whisper', the album cemented their place as pop icons. Now for the first time in over 30 years, 'Make It Big' is available with the US cover on standard weight black vinyl. Review: So beyond teen-age fun - I own this and all the other Wham albums on vinyl. Soon I will own all on CD. I played Freedom so much that it's completely scratched and worn out. This album came out when I was a 13 year old freshman in High School. Wow, did I LOVE George Michael. I still do, he's the best, what a great voice. This is a great album with super videos. I remember dancing to "Wake me up before you Go-Go" at my first High School Dance. Yes, I owned dolphin shorts and a Choose Life shirt. I didn't understand why they wanted to dance the jitterbug but I figured it was popular in the UK. I even bought a painters cap like the one Andrew wore. I would have gladly killed any of the back up singers to take their job and used to mimic their movements in my bedroom. "Everything she Wants" was such a cool grown up song. I swore never to become a gold digger like the girl who hurt George. I wish they would put the video remix on this album as it is much cooler with the additional lyrics. "Heartbeat, Like a Baby, and Credit Card baby" are great. I used to think George was stoopid for giving the girl his credit card then complaining in "Everything she wants." I could and still cannot get enough of Freedom. Hearing the music just makes want to put on a big smile and jump around the room. George was definitely singing about me in "If you were there" I know this and cannot be persuaded otherwise. Ah yes, and "Careless Whisper" I cried when I saw the video. "George don't fool around with that old trampy woman with her dental floss swimsuit!" I would play this song over and over and over again. I used to practice my ballet to it in my room too. Ok, if you had a pulse in 1984-86 when this music was HOT, you know what I mean. Every adolecent fantasy and dream I had centered around Wham's music. Duran Duran was cool but they could not touch my heart like George Michael and Andrew Ridgely. I know George Michael has said that he is embarrassed about this music. Well George, you're an idiot. I'm 30 now and still love listening to Wham. It reminds me of high school lockers, dances, MTV - when it was cool, designer jeans, and pink lip gloss. How can you put down the songs that made you so awesome. Don't take yourself so seriously. As for those of you that come here to diss this album you were probably just jealous boyfriends that were compared to George in the 80's and lost. Go back to the Quiet Riot section and continue to pretend to know something about good music. Review: The Condition was excellent - Not one scratch listened to it today! Thank you!

Great Music For 80s-Nostalgia Sake!
Make It Big When I think of the late-George Michael, several of the tracks on this album were how we in The States were introduced to him. While he (and his bandmate Andrew Ridgeley) achieved success in Europe with 1982's FANTASTIC (Wham! UK), for The States, it wasn't until MAKE IT BIG's "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" "Careless Whisper" "Everything She Wants" & "Freedom" hit the charts here, that they achieved the success that the album's title insinuated. Along with the accompanying videos, Wham! were all the rage in the early-to mid 80s (along with Duran Duran, Culture Club, Paul Young, Tears For Fears and Eurythmics) and almost everyone wanted a CHOOSE LIFE t-shirt, featured in the "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" video. Other highlights of the album are "Credit Card Baby" "Heartbeat" & "If You Were There" ... "Like A Baby" shows the maturity of the late-George Michael as a songwriter. As a matter of fact, the legend goes that the late-George Michael wrote the music & lyrics to "Careless Whisper" when he was just 16-years old, three years before ever having a record deal. Of course, after this 1984 release, Wham! had one more studio album (the stellar but not hit-heavy MUSIC FROM THE EDGE OF HEAVEN) and then by 1987, the late-George Michael was on his own with FAITH, eclipsing anything Wham! had ever achieved. Great music for 80s-Nostalgia sake! Make It Big

A classic Pop masterpiece from the great George Michael. Most of the songs were written/composed when GM was in his late teens( 'Careless Whisper' was written while travelling on the back seat of his school bus when he was 19). It shows what a talent he was .. This is a must have for any pop music fan. It includes the extended version of Careless Whisper and the immortal Heartbeat. The CD comes with the alternate cover artwork (Made in Germany)as promised but the MRP is ₹599/- and is not as publicised by the seller as ₹1400 or ₹1500/-

Buon ascolto!

Wham have allways been the best summer band to allways exist, and this album really reflects that. One of the biggest albums of all times with big hits such as "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" or "Everything She Wants". Definetly a must have in cd form.
