Great mag pin. More enjoyable than standard hitch pins.
These magnetic pins are basically the same as some other brands made in China. I like Fringesport customer service and these were on sale on Amazon so I bought them here. I ended up buying a second set after I received the first set and liked them so much. I’ve been using them for about 2 months now and they are more enjoyable to use than the standard detent hitch pin.

Fringe Sport Rocks
P.K.'s a cool dude, and I really like their company. These pins are superb. Strong magnets, hold in place well. Nice color options. Fair price. I'll probably buy another set at some point.

Well worth the money!
I bought 4 originally, came back and bought 2 more. The convenience and appearance of these pins are great. If you use standard hitch pins for attachments these are well worth the cost. I used to work around different exercises that needed adjustment, but these make it so easy.

Good product at the right price point
Short review is that this is a great product that has a great price point. 5/5 function but 4/5 cosmeticWhile there are many options out there like oak club but they often have high import cost of something like 75$, this seems to hit a better price point and has a good overall value. Functionally, it has a good weight and heft as I don’t have any safety concern as this is the first priority any lifting item should have. Inserting is easy and has a satisfying click when it’s in, stays in place for things like spotter arms. I would prefer this pin when having heavier items like dip attachments. Traditional hitch pins have that little ball requiring a weird force input as this just slides in with more ease. But with any products, there’s always room for improvement and my suggestions are geared towards just the cosmetic part. 1st, the pink I would say is more leaning on the purple side than actual pink. 2nd I would like this to have a plastic component between my rack and the pin as I don’t want metal on metal. While I haven’t had any scratches but some attachments do have more play & wiggle on the rack and would be concerned about the pin moving(ie dip attachment). 3rd, the safety pin feels like a last minute add on to avoid liability, but I would like them to have a better looking design like a twist cap or a push tab. I would say the safety pin has a nice spring to it, but I feel like this is an easy item to lose. 4th, I’m not a fan of the brand name on the cap as I would prefer a logo or a decal option such as their donut or pizza design as it would add a fun look. Lastly, I would like to see more color options such as white, blue or blackI do have one request, please make a band peg version please.I have no reservations about this product and would easily recommend this over the default hitch pins or even the more costly options at this current price point.

This pin is LEGIT
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased a set of magnetic barbell collars and it has started me down a dark path of upgrading my setup to include more magnetic gym accessory options.I’ve always hated the standard pins that came with my equipment, mainly because of the annoying fasteners. They’re cumbersome to clip in place and bend over time, making them even more annoying. Plus, making adjustments between exercises or when working out with a partner can be frustrating with standard pins. When I saw that Fringe had a magnetic pin, I had to at least try it. And let me say, I’m glad I did. The 5/8 pin fits perfectly in my Bells of Steel Light Commercial Rack and the magnet is no joke. I tried this out with both my dip attachment (shown in the video) and my lat pulldown attachment. The pin held perfectly and was easy to adjust.Even better, my wife thought purchasing a magnetic pin was silly. As soon as she tried it, she commented on how this is what should have come standard with rack attachments to begin with.Regarding the condition of the pin I received, I’m not sure what happened there. I’ve purchased other items from Fringe before and doubt they would let something leave their factory like that, so there’s a chance Amazon sent me a used pin or it somehow got damaged during shipping. The outer packaging itself was in perfect condition, but the plastic inside was partially torn and it definitely looks like the pin was dropped or something. I’m not dinging my rating for this because the pin works perfectly, but I am reaching out to the company and will update my review when I hear back. UPDATE: I heard back from Fringe and (no surprise with their excellent customer service) they offered to exchange the damaged pin.tldr; This magnetic pin is awesome, especially if you work out with a partner or need to adjust rack attachments between sets. It is convenient, secure, and, like everything Fringe puts out, excellent quality.
