So fun, works amazingly!

I own several IdeaFormer Build Plates. All are nicely made. I always use glue on these plate sparingly, so I can keep the nice finish on the bottom surface. They haven't failed me yet. Parts can be removed IF you remove the print immediately upon printing finishing; otherwise put the print in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.

So, I bought this and was reading the reviews and saw a lot of people had issues with adhesion especially on bigger surface area prints so I was nervous that it would not be a good plate. I ran across one review that said to change the first layer settings to: initial layer speed:20mm/s, initial layer infill:20mm/s, and initial layer height: .25mm. this worked perfect! I have since added a print profile in my slicer with these settings to use with this plate. Do not use gluestick on these holographic plates, it won't transfer the image (I tried that first before messing with the speed settings, since I have a non-holographic smooth plate that picks up the pattern with a layer of glue stick applied just fine). I test printed these big flat pieces and they are glass smooth on the back and adhered perfect to the plate and also easily peeled right off the plate when done. Long story short, follow the advice of the wonderful reviewer that put in lots of effort to figure out the correct first layer settings and use their #s and this plate is amazing! My printer is a Bambu P1S for reference.

**Update** This one is a bit complicated. I just want to give them 5 stars based upon the customer service. Made things more than right with me and I’ll try to come back and buy something else from them, they were that nice. When I get the replacement plate I’ll update as to how well it works. As for now I got pla to barely stick at 72c but customer service is super nice so 5 stars and repeat customer. I don’t know if I got a defective unit but nothing wants to stick to this thing either side, I’m used to printing on glass so that’s saying something. I like the patterns but again plain pla doesn’t even like it.

Not as bright as others but still a good plate.

Works pretty great in my X1 carbon. I have noticed that you definitely cannot get ABS to stick to the plate, so keep that in mind. Other than that, it's sticking to my prints pretty well, as long as I give it a clean wipe with some rubbing alcohol before each print. It's nice having the bottom smooth instead of textured with glue and what not LOL

First time using it with my Bambu lab PS1 and I love it! I did have to change the plate to smooth, initial layer speed to 20 mm/s, same with intial layer 20 mm/s, and I changed layer height to .25. Under filament I changed the smooth plate temp to 65 and other layers right next to it to 65 as well. Thank you to the person who added these settings in the reviews. I’m so happy with my purchase, and my print.

Fits great. You have to go into the Bambu lab settings and turn off build plate detection. I’ve found printing on it to use (textured plate) on the slicer for good adhesion

I was excited to try this plate, but my experience was very disappointing. No matter what I try, I just can not get PETG to stick to this plate. After cleaning it with Dawn and hot water, I have tried different build plate selections (as recommended by the seller), different build plate temperatures, different Z-axis offsets, different first layer speeds, and nothing works. Not sure if I have just got a defective plate or if there is some secret setting I have missed, but I just can't recommend this plate. Shame I can't leave zero stars. EDIT Ideaformer's customer service was excellent. After I returned this plate, they sent me a new one with advice to reduce the Z offset to -0.06. I had to set it to -0.07, and increase the bed temperature to 70, but then the filament (Sunlu PETG) stuck without issues. Upgraded to 5 stars. Hope it keeps on working.

Neat idea but I found that the holographic texture it would add to the parts would just rub off with light handling. Extremely smooth glossy finnish on the parts though if you want to have that as an option

Prints don't stick very well, even with higher bed temp. There's bubbles. There was glue coming out of the edge of the plate right when I opened it and the sheet is not lined up with the plate underneath. You can see the uneven edges

Way smaller than what it says, completely useless to me. Buyer beware
