Direct Replacement for Royal Gourmet PD1202R
I accidentally snapped the stem in my original regulator for my Royal Gourmet tabletop griddle. I called RG to get the replacement part and they took my information and never called back. I ended up stumbling across this regulator and thought why not give it a shot. Once I received it, I was surprised to learn that this is a direct replacement for my old regulator. This is the exact part that was on my griddle. They have the same part number on the back. In order to get it to work I had to switch out the parts from my griddles regulator to this one. You could actually just take the entire old regulator and pipe off too connect this one directly to the griddle, but it wouldn't sit correctly on the table afterwards. It's wasn't too hard and you will just need a wrench set. Once replaced the griddle fired right up.

12,000 BTU
Unfortunately I did not notice the BTU rating max of 12,000 BTU before ordering. My appliance has a BTU rating of 18,000 BTU making this regulator inadequate for my application. Remember to check the BTU rating of your appliance before ordering!

Pay attention to the BTU range of the regulator to match your needs
Works well with my small portable grill. When selecting a replacement regulator users should be aware that these come in two different flow ranges. This one has a low flow range of 7000 to 12000 BTU equivalent. Many others that look identical have a 0 to 50000 BTU flow range. This regulator that matches my grill.

My purpose was to regulate 10,000BTU with this 7,000-12000BTU regulator. Everything fit OK, but my 10,000BTU appeared to be operating at low-medium. I messed with my fuel source and my valves, but simply not a lot of fuel flow. I adjusted the regulator knob, and I could certainly get less than low-medium, I could get low. I could regulate between low and low-medium. Based on the BTU numbers, I was expecting to regulate between medium and high. Something was obviously wrong between the advertised output and the actual fual flow, so I returned it.
