BEST PROGRAMMING CABLE I HAVE!
This cable has replaced three of my Baofeng cables. It works with the newest radios, it replaces the CH304 needed for the DM32 and some of the early UV-5r radios. Replaces the early FTDI that doesn't always work. It works with all my Baofeng radios, regardless of age, that take the RCA plug. It lets you know when it it moving information by a blinking green light, and is flexible even though it has a thicker wire. Well made. My guess is that it will also work with my Wouxun radios with the same RCA jack. One of my Baofeng cables will work on the Wouxun radios. It is nice to have one that so far has done it all. Thank you.

Works with Windows 11 Running Under VMWare on a MacBook
I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly this Baofeng USB programming cable worked. I’m running Windows 11 inside VMware on a MacBook, and I expected at least a little hassle getting the cable recognized. Instead, it connected immediately, showed up as a proper COM port, and let me program my radio without any driver drama.

It actually worked!
Most of these are very poorly designed and constructed with knock-off chips and are not reliable but this one worked perfectly on my Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems. It doesn't work that well with USB3.x for some reason but USB2 is flawless. I just used a USB2 expansion hub plugged into the USB3 port on my computer. So, if you plug it into your USB3.x port and it doesn't work try a USB2 port or a hub that makes it look like a USB2 port. Something that I believe is common to all and is probably an issue with the radios is that it must be held FIRMLY in place while the computer is communicating or it will usually disconnect. I have several of the radios and all have had this issue with various programming cables.

Needed item with Windows 11
Works good, so far. After being forced to "upgrade" to Windows 11 (thanks, Microshaft - NOT) my programming cable didn't work anymore. After doing some research it seems that Mr. Gates and a chip company conspired to break the drivers. This cable uses an FTDI chip so you're not at thsir mercy.
