I washed them first before using them. They are definitely soft to the skin but a bit rough, similarly to flannel. So if you react with flannel does not have a rough feeling, you'll love these sheets. Based on other reviewers, the roughness will cease to exist after a few washings, so if you feel flannel is rough you'll grow to like these sheets. They are on the thin side, so wear may be less than other thicker sheets and will need to be replaced sooner. My wife loves them because they do not get cold and crisp when you climb into bed. I personally like the cold crisp feel of other sheets. But happy wife... So we will be buying more of these sheets and recommend you do the same.

These sheets are just okay. Color (grey) is nice and they didn't shred when I washed them. However, they are very thin. I don't find them to be luxurious at all. My tags read "Royal Traditions" which is a brand sold at Walmart. On the positive side, they fit for my Olympic queen nicely.

I don't normally like "silky" sheets, because it normally means clingy in addition to smooth. These are very soft and almost slick, but stay relatively cool through the night. The colours are rich, the fabric is ideal, they wash up beautifully. They are *almost* worth the premium price. Overall, a strong "buy" recommendation.

This set is so so soft and silky almost you will not believe it is a 100% cotton sateen. No wonder it's done of egyptian 800 thread count 100% cotton. I have to take one star off for the fact that sateen should be less wrinkled after the drying process and that the blue color, I bought, is realy dark blue and not what you see displayed. I'm keeping it since the prize is right for this luxurious softness and quality set.

I have a blue set of these sheets and loved how comfortable they are so I bought a second set. They are just as comfortable but I am not crazy about the gold color. I thought they would look cheerful but they remind me of old sheets for some reason. I should have stuck to blues, greens, or cream. They are good sheets though.

These are awesome sheets. Super soft, but smooth and clean feeling as well. They fit my extra thick mattress, and they don't get all stretched out and loose after just a couple of nights. I previously purchased these in burgundy, and was pleased with that set, as well. The price keeps me from buying another set, but that is not to say they aren't worth the price. Oh, and they are true to color and the color doesn't leech out onto the skin.

These sheets are extremely comfortable. We have purchased several sets for all the beds (or different colors)in the house.Nothing like the feel of fresh clean sheets.

I've only washed them once and slept on them a few nights, but so far so good!
