Such a cute addition to our kitchen utensils! The splatypus is really well made; the handle is a nice, sturdy hard rubber while the spatula blade is just slightly more flexible and perfect for scraping along the inside of jars and bottles.

Honestly, I chose it as much for the fun design as for the function—I thought it would just add some personality to my kitchen tools. To my surprise, it turned out to be far more than just cute—it’s incredibly practical. The slim shape makes it perfect for scraping into jars, narrow bowls, and all those tricky crevices that bigger spatulas can’t quite reach. Despite its size, it feels sturdy in my hand and has quickly become one of my most-used utensils. After eight months of regular use, I’m impressed with how well it has held up. The colors are still vibrant, and the silicone shows no cracks, nicks, or fading. The product information notes that it’s dishwasher safe, but I’ve only hand washed mine to make sure it lasts as long as possible. These were great gifts for everyone at Christmas, lots of laughs at the "facial expression" on the platypus. They were too expensive though for what they are, other brands more reasonable.

Great quality and works beautifully to reach those tough spots in jar. Design really meets the need. Only wish the handle was longer for some of those bigger jars.
