Excellent meter
I looked around for a good deal, having read all the reviews online - this is just a rebadged HT118A, supplied through other brand names such as Kaiweets, Habotest, KKmoon - you get exact same thing except cheaper, and I love a good deal!!! Read the manual - rare for me, but I discovered you can disable the auto power off feature by pressing the 'Func' button while turning on - very useful. I like everything about this meter, does it all well, and for the money I spent I doubt you will find something better. For this price range you get a meter that doesn't feel cheap at all, plastics are solid and top notch and has some nice functions, like the mains detector, which actually works well and is sensitive, unlike other meters I have used where it is a little insensitive. The torch and also the backlit display are all great. The stand also works well and the rubbery sleeve stops the meter slipping around. Also useful to have a thermocouple to read temperature up to 1000c, so will use this to calibrate my soldering iron. If I were to pick anything I think could be improved, the outside rubber protective sleeve could be a little softer and more flexible, and also, would prefer higher quality probes - but this is it, I can't fault it.

Decent meter with a good range of functions for the money
I bought this multimeter for its ability to measure capacitance as I had a number of (potentially) duff capacitors that I wanted to check. From my initial checks against known-good capacitors it certainly measures accurately enough. I say "accurately enough" since nothing is ever spot-on. I am under no illusions that neither my known-good capacitors or the meter itself are perfect, however, the readings it provides are certainly within tolerance so I am certainly satisfied with the results (especially considering the cost). Things I like: * Nice large and readable digital display with backlight (that can be turned on as needed). Certainly useful for the <cough> older citizen. * All the controls, dial and labelling are clear and easy to use. * It's a bit of a gimmick (as you should know what you're doing) but it is a nice touch that it lights up the appropriate sockets when you select a function. * It comes with a nice selection of additional test leads. * It even came with batteries! Which were easy to fit. Some of these meters you have to crack open the enter case to fit batteries but this has an easily accessible bay on the back (under the stand, secured by a single screw). Things that I don't like so much (no deal-breakers, remember this is not an expensive unit so you have to be pragmatic): * The instructions are in a "type of" English, certainly not the worst that I've read but you might not figure out all the capabilities purely from the textual description (again I imagine someone buying a multimeter knows how to use one). * The case whilst not flimsy is probably not as rugged or robust as the chunky-action-man design might have you believe. It'll do but I doubt it will last any particularly rough handling. All in all, I'm satisfied with the purchase and it'll do what I need it to.

Good buy and good choice
I'm a sparky for many years, own a boat with an outboard engine, mostly run on 12v and always working on generators. My £100> fluke got wet and died. This does more then the fluke for a tenner. The fluke accuracy for volts is <5> were this is 0.1, 1.0 etc that is important for 12-24v systems. I wear glasses so the back light and large display is bang on, the front light is worthless. For me it is easy to use but maybe not for a diyer beginner. The amps, volts and continuity have to be set AC/DC were expensive ones are auto set. The NCV is handy for fuse finding, put the meter near the socket and waite until it stops bleeping as your isolating the fuses. I would use this on 230v systems but I wouldnt want to use the crock on the live side, perfect for DC. I have no idea why or who would use the temperature probe, maybe a cheif or housewife. It's a good size , robust and I do recommend this meter, you can not beat the price for something that does so much in one package. Up date- keep the led display button down for a few secs and front torch will light up and illuminates very well. I was operating it incorrectly.

Excellent value & functionality
This is a fantastic multimeter for the price. Besides the usual volt/current/resistance, it can also measure frequency, duty cycle, capacitance and the hFE of transistors, which as an electronics design engineer is very useful to me. It can also measure temperature, which will be the ambient temperature of the meter if no probe is connected, while plugging in the supplied wire-ended thermocouple probe allows you to measure the spot temperature of equipment, components or even your cup of tea! It has other useful features such as reading hold, so you can freeze the reading at times when it is difficult to probe and read the meter at the same time, and it has a max/min function to show the highest or lowest reading during the measurement time, and a beeper for easy continuity testing. It is possible to zero the meter to take relative readings or to correct for lead resistance or capacitance. Checking the meter reading against a calibrated supply and a variety of fixed resistors and capacitors show it to be plenty accurate enough for anything you are likely to be using a multimeter to measure. Mechanically it seems robust, and the supplied leads are as good as any other multimeter I have used.

Etwas was man üblicherweise als Zubehör bestellen muss.

Plenty of functions and does exactly what it says in description. Voltage detection and temperature detection was new for me and I loved it. I compared its readings to another temperature detector with me and its quite close, like 1 degree off or the same. And the carry bag that has that thing out to pick it up from? Nice 👍 Quite a deal for such a good price. Update June 11 2025: The MM somehow got burned when I was testing 220V AC in a new house I came in to. Not sure if not switching to AC mode caused it but it was supposed to automatically detect it anyway. I still think its a good tool, maybe it was my badluck.
