I am buying this item second time in row.This product has amazing taste, made from very fresh fish,smoked with real wood smoke,enough salt and other spice s. Suitable for cooking many dishes, when frying it tastes like hot smoked fish. Love it and would recommend to others.

Very good quality kippers quite large in size compared to some that I've had.They are not overly smoked and they have a mild subtle flavour came quickly packed well with ice blocks the Courier kept me updated on the delivery time

I don't normally write crits, but....I've been practically brought up on Manx kippers... usually acknowledged as the ideal standard, but these kippers wre just as good. Thankyou to the Smokers and to the silver darlings. A bit pricey perhaps, but wow, worth it. P.S. This is a genuine post from a genuine punter.

Excellent Quality and Quantity A++++

The reviews are all spot on, arrived very quickly chilled beautifully and we got 7 packs of kippers - 2 per pack a pair. Very delicious so naturally smoked and the taste is amazing. Kept two packets out the rest gone in the freezer. My only comment is I wish they had been in a box with branding on it as they were for a present. but well packaged all the same, strong brown box.

Bought these for en-shipment (as a trial) to US thru a forwarding agent (Preston, Lancs.), then informed that kippers are a PROHIBITED item, but they would dispose of them "for Free" - kippers for tea? Further-more, the Ware House Manager had detected the odor of decomposition (though 10 mil. vacuum packed poly ethylene - incredible) so time was of the essence. Had them forwarded to my brother in Grantham who prefers Craster kippers, but was gracious enough to accept these to share with his daughter and son -in-law. They are of the opinion that these were excellent value and tasty.Needless to say, I shall not bother the forwarding agent with my custom.Impossible to get anything resembling a kipper produced in N. America. Would think, with solid Scots heritage in Canada, that there would be some ancestral memory, and longing, for/of decent kippers - not so. Before 911 could get kippers sent from Isle of Mann: no longer. Rely on George Ross (Aberdeen) kippers imported by IGourmet in N. Carolina $7.5 a pair + shipping. Worth every cent.

The kippers arrived on time, perfectly packed, two kippers to each vacuum pack and they were delicious. Excellent.
