This is NOT a toy !
Item is a wonderful discussion piece to set on the desk. I bought this for my husband as a gag gift and ended up keeping it myself. The small projectiles are very pointy and sharp. I didn't think that it would go far however, it went about 40 ft before hitting my curtain and sticking about 3/4 of the bullet into the curtain. Great for aiming at mice!

This thing is great it fits in your hand
Best 20$ I've spent in a while this crossbow actually has some power for such a small weapon. For the price and size you can't ask for much more very cool man toy not a good idea for people 12 and under.

fun at home
This is not a toy for younger people. this is fun for shooting amazon boxes and paper targets, but not at close range. Having fun with this.

This little thing is powerful!
Ever wanted a desk toy that could actually put someone's eye out? WELL HERE IT IS!! I'm joking but this actually could easily send something through an eyeball. It feels nice and sturdy for a toy, the all-metal construction definitely shows how tough it is. It was extremely easy to assemble using the instructions, just one screw and tighten the string and you're good to start shooting. It comes with 8 empty half-sized pen refills as ammo. I'm able to send these into a cardboard box with every shot. Reloading is pretty easy and hard to accidentally misfire. The sights are more of a decoration. If I REALLY wanted to play with it a bit I could probably improve their accuracy but it's a toy and I'm not that concerned about sights. :)Cons... It has a hard time firing anything of a smaller diameter than the pen refill tubes. I couldn't get it to fire a toothpick, even after I snapped off one point to give the string more surface to push against. It just kept flying over the top of the pick and failed to grab the end and push. They do have other mini-arrows that it will apparently work with so I guess I'm just disappointed that my idea of super cheap ammo didn't work out. :)All in all, I'm very happy with this and it will have a place on my desk for years to come.

This thing is awesome! Not for kids!
The media could not be loaded. It took less than a minute from opening the package until I'd test fired the mini crossbow. It poked the little darts through a pair of soft Amazon shipping packages.Like any adult, I then installed both the leaf springs for extra oomph and loosened the top clamp spring to reduce friction.Wow! That livened it right up. I managed to fire the darts clear through those same packages and bounce it off some particle board. Firing a nail with a shaved head was even more forceful. Cool! Two thumbs up. But again, not for kids! My modified unit could bury a nail an inch or two into any number of things you would not want a nail in!

A highly functional, art piece, if you will....
A highly functional, art piece, if you will.... And I say that because on it's own, even without any actual functionality, this thing is cool, it looks sharp... and the all metal components give it that solid sturdy, "sculptured" art feel... like a quality model replica. Which i guess a replica is about what this is.. either way, it's a good looking device, but I was just about to mark it down as non-functioning though... but I wasn't so sure, so I took a closer look, and it turns out that my wife, who graciously volunteered to assemble the thing, wasn't pulling back the "string", far enough ... she was convinced the trigger thing that sticks up to hold the string back, was "broken", but it wasn't, she just wasn't pulling the string back far enough, to catch onto the part that holds it in place. But I did pull it back far enough. And it held securely... as I diligently propped up a cardboard box, on the kitchen counter... a fairly narrow box I might add... only several inches wide.... and why is that important?... because directly behind that box, to either side, was a glass vase, and a glass cookie jar... in other words, if I miss that box, I could be in for some real trouble... that is, if this thing has any power at all... so I took careful aim, and I pulled the trigger... and "swoosh"... it must have flown through the air too fast cause I didn't even see it, although my eyes were on the target as they should be, so for whatever that's worth... Look, the point is, and you better believe that pun is intended.. the point is, this little arrow went sailing, I'd guess somewhere just below the speed of sound, meaning a little less than mach 1, but I don't know, I'm no physicist, it shot right into that cardboard, like it was hot butter.... with only the very tail end of the arrow, still sticking out. Bottom line. A nifty little device. Great product.

Neat little desk toy. Shoot it into my large corkboard on my desk.
Just got my hands on this neat little desk toy, the TIQAOTE Mini Crossbow, and it's quickly become my favorite distraction during those longer workdays. This miniature crossbow is not just a toy; it's an interestingly crafted piece of art that sits proudly on my desk. The level of detail on this model is impressive, making it a fantastic collectible for anyone who appreciates craftsmanship or has a love for archery and hunting. It's also surprisingly sturdy for its size, and yes, it actually works! Firing tiny arrows into my large corkboard has never been more fun. It's a great conversation starter and a unique way to take a quick mental break. If you're looking for something unique to spice up your desk or a cool gift for an adult friend, this little crossbow is a sure hit!

so cool!
This little guy is the coolest little do-dad I've seen in a long time. I keep it on my desk for when I'm bored so I can shoot a little box I got set up with the target. As far as quality, it seems to be sturdy as you can expect from something like this. It comes with 6 of the brass tipped bolts, 3 steel drawstrings, and 2 of the actual bowing pieces of metal, just incase you do need to replace something, you don't have to buy a whole new one, which I thought was really nice. Assembly is really straight forward, and takes maybe 2-3 minutes. Firing it is actually a barrel of fun. it's powerful for it's size, and is actually reasonably accurate at a couple of feet away. It's just a really fun time in responsible hands.
