If you don’t want to make ssamjang! This is the only one that is the best and is close to homemade ssamjang! It is so good! This is so good with Korean bbq!!

Spicy, yes. A little lacking in the umami department compared to other brands, but flavor is good.

Love the product, but if you are increasingly unlucky, it will arrive without adequate packaging - busted open and smeared all over the inside of the box. To top it off, you can't get Amazon to return/replace or even reimburse. Buy it at a local store if you can - this is now the 3rd time foodstuff arrives inedible (busted open due to lack of packaging) and it will be the last time.

This is just so good. I've tried ssamjang from several other brands-- one was really really umami like straight up mushroom extract and others were much too salty-- but the OFood one is just a perfect and versatile everyday condiment. Put it on veggies, add it to a broth, cook with it, can't go wrong.
