Coming from the HX Stomp the Ampero has similar tones but the ease of use I think is industry leading. Very easy to create and modify patches. Bluetooth connectivity is very nice - I use it with the Bandhelper app to automate patch and scene selection. Desktop editor is very good. Community not as evolved as the heavyweight modelers but hopefully that comes with time. Overall, very hard to beat at this price point.

I'm a pro session musician. Sent back my Fractal...too complicated and expensive.Line 6 was good, but the Ampero sounds better to me. Especially the clean and semi-clean sounds. And the price is right. Great job!

The media could not be loaded. I currently own a Nueral DSP Quad Cortex on my gigging board and bought this as an at home practice unit. This is so close to the QC in quality and sound.... I've actually brought this to gigs that I didn't want to bring my whole board. I will say, though it does not have as much DSP as the QC it’s got a triple core whereas the QC has four. for the price you can’t beat it. The media could not be loaded. The possibilities are amazing with this. Has a lot in it but still easy to navigate. Sounds are good. I can use it with both my electric and acoustic guitars. Feels like a quality well thought out effects pedal. I do wish it had the expression pedal built in but that’s a small complaint. You can use one and if you have one it will work with it.

Within a week of buying this Modeler the Mode selector foot switch started working intermittently and then finally just stopped working completely. Really annoyed because the unit feels solid, sounds excellent with low noise floor at its price point, and is a decently compact size compared to my FM3. The Tone catch option works pretty good, but takes off some of the higher frequencies of what it's catching, close enough though. This unit works excellent for guitar and it great for bass, minus the bass drive effects not being as good as they could be. If Ampero is smart they will be fixing these problems in updates and not about to leave buyers hanging.Really bummed because I got this on a black Friday sale and an exchange was not an option when starting the return. Good luck if your buying this, hopefully the quality assurance will be better on your unit. I'm just happy it broke before I needed it in a live situation.
