Lightweight glass simmer pot!
My glass simmer pot arrived early today, and it was in perfect condition. The pot was securely packed in Styrofoam in a sturdy cardboard box. I was surprised how lightweight the pot was, but that's a plus because it's easier for me to handle. I have an electric stove and I filled up the pot and boiled water to confirm its heat resistance. No problem! Surprisingly, as hot as the pot was, I was able to lift the pot with its handles. The spout works very well without any leaking. The design and construction of this pot is very impressive being 100% lead free, non-toxic and it has a lot of versatility. It really would make a good ice bucket or a pitcher for iced tea and mixed drinks. This is the perfect pot for small batches of pasta, gravies, boiling eggs, soups, etc. I just have to remind myself that it is glass and I have to be careful when I'm washing it in my sink. I think it will need extra care to prevent any breakage.

Beautiful Glass Pot
I originally bought this to cook rice. It doesn't work too well for rice because it burns it a little. Although the pot is gorgeous, I am not too thrilled with the design because it has ridges on the inside so it makes it a bit tedious to clean. They should have designed it with the ridges on the outside for better grip and a smooth inside for a smoother clean. Surprisingly the handles don't get hot, that was a shocker for me! Not sure how that works but it does. It has a cute little spout for easy pouring.

Good Quality Glass Pot, Only Meant For Simmering - Not For Use On Open Flame
I love glass pots, including this one. I ordered it from the Kemorela Store, and I'm very pleased. It's not meant for cooking on incredibly high heat, but it's perfect for making tea, pasta, soup, and reheating some things. The glass is well-made and durable. I like that it has handles on both sides. The handles don't get hot! I love the pour spout; it works well.Stick with electric burners or stoves when using any glass items, as open flames can cause them to bust, etc.

Handle broke off before first use!
I was so excited to receive this summer pot! I thought it was totally cute and the perfect size for making noodles or soup for two people. Unfortunately, I am giving this a one star because as I was washing it before my first use, one of the handles broke right off! It broke right where it attached to the pot. And, it is interesting to note that when I first removed the pot from its packaging, I did notice that the handles were cloudy and a little bit sticky, like there was glue residue. However, when I looked at the handles, neither one looked like they had been glued on so I don't know. Perhaps it was just a bad/weak point in the glass. So disappointing because borosilicate glass is usually so strong but I'm glad this happened before I had a pot of boiling liquid inside!

So confused
Is this safe for use on my gas stove or not???I got this to simmer natural home fragrances in the stove because the other pots in this category are open flame safe. This would be great for that - if it was safe for use on my stove.I’m sure I’ll find a use for it but not for what I need.It looks sturdy, glass isn’t too thin. The lid fits.

Really cute. great for ramen
Really great for cooking up ramen on the stove and serving because of the spout. Also cool to watch your stuff cook.

Very attractive and more durable then I initially thought
When I ordered this I expected the glass to be kind of thick like Pyrec or that older glass cookware but it wasn't and I was honestly reluctant to use it because was concerned with it breaking. The pot is very pretty and aesthetically pleasing. In my opinion it is better to cook things that are juicy in this pot or things that can be easily stirred around or moved during cooking. There is no heat distribution on the bottom so things like rice, casseroles and even chili would burn on the bottom. But things like soup, stew, sauces etc that can be stirred and moved within the pot work great. As I mentioned I was a bit reluctant to use on the stove because it seemed thin (thinner) in my opinion compared to other. I hit the pot on the top of the counter a couple of times just to test out it strength and once I was satisfied it would not easily break I used it to make chicken and rice. The pot comes with a lid that fits nicely. It was enjoyable watching how the food inside of the pot started to boil. I can't wait to make some hot apple cider in it. I imagine the smells will fill the kitchen wonderfully as the lid does not close all of the way, it has a pour spot and so the aroma will fill the kitchen. The pot was fairly easy to clean, I let it simmer with hot soapy water for a few to get the burnt food out of the bottom and then used a spatula to scrap it out, that part worked better than most other pots. I hand wash dishes but am not sure about the lip of the pot. I did not pay close attention when I initially washed it and there was some residue there I missed. It was not hard getting it off just overlooked because of the way the body of the pot is made.Overall though I still have a few reservations about using the pot for "cooking" however it was a great ice bucket and champagne cooler. I think that it is a piece that versatile and will get a lot of use out of it even if it is not cooking. The packing was exceptional and fully protected in transit as mentioned in the description. I am torn on my rating. I am inclined to give it a 8 however in the description and name it says it is a simmer pot and does not say it is for cooking so based off description it would be 10 because it does what it says it will do.
