A much better tablet than I expected.
I am really impressed with this tablet. In the past, I've owned "top of the range" tablets but when my Sony seemed to be reaching the end of its life, I decided to go for something a bit cheaper (the Sony tablet was double the price nearly 4 years ago and has served me well). I expected compromises that I'd be able to live with. Instead, I'm extremely impressed with it.The battery life is the best I've ever had on a tablet and easily double that of my Sony (which had a new battery within the last 12 months). The screen is an inch bigger, which I barely registered before purchase but actually makes a startling difference and looks significantly larger and easier to read. It's easily as bright as my Sony and the quality is indistinguishable. And the sound is superb and leaves the Sony tablet dead in the water. It has much more available volume too.Graphically it's supposed to be slower, but experimenting with a handful of games showed no noticeable difference. In day to day use, I notice no slowdowns or hitches and it is as fast as my (fussy) self could hope for. The fingerprint sensor is simply brilliant, registering instantly. This can double as home/back/list apps controls, saving you screen space. It felt a little odd at first, as the fingerprint sensor is on the side instead of the bottom. But given that's where you hold the tablet in landscape mode (and I always use it in landscape mode), it became a natural option extremely quickly. The drawbacks are minor. It is "heavier" than my old tablet, but by no stretch of the imagination is it heavy and I don't notice that in use. It also came with a fair number of rubbish apps that Huawei thinks someone may want, but they're easily removed and the few remaining ones ignored. Finally I did truly hate the default Huawei launcher which wastes masses of screen space and looks like it was designed for a 5 year old. I replaced it with the Nova Launcher on the first day and now, well, it's basically the perfect tablet! One of my smarter purchases. :)

Wow - Brilliant Tablet
This is an exceptional tablet with a great screen and solid build. It's very responsive with no stuttering. As for the speakers, I dont know how they managed to get the quality and volume into such a slim package. Absolutely no distortion at full volume, and for a tablet it's loud! The battery has great stamina. With previous tablets I was always checking the battery levels to see when I needed to Before I bought the tablet I did have some reservatiion about the screen ratio as was being drawn towards the Ipads more squarer screen. Forget that! this is a large screen at 10.8" and that reservation went quickly out of the window.Overall an excellent tablet and have recommended it to friends.

Almost fantastic
It is a truly great tablet. Fast with excellent colour rendition and detailed display. Sounds great and is a joy to use. Reading PDF's and navigating web content is excellent on the large display. Would be perfect but for the screen finish. That large glass area is too reflective resulting in viewing problems. If you're sat on a train the overhead lights, of which there are usually many, reflect. Office lighting can catch the screen too. Some form of anti-reflective coating would make a huge difference to its usability in anywhere other than where there's a single source of light. I dont think with is just an M5 tablet problem as any large glass screen can be problematic so its one area that Huawei could turn something great into something fantastic. If want a tablet for serious use, this is the one but just consider how you'll be using it.

M5 10 inch tablet - good but could be improved.
M5 10 inch tablet. Great tablet. Fast, good screen, sound is amazing. Android 8 already installed. Some bloatware but not much. Fingerprint scanner works all the time and is very quick. About 24gb free in storage as os uses 8gb. Have added 64gb card for extra space which works well although cant be formatted as internal memory. Battery life is good will last all day with mix of games, internet and videos. Has fast charge which is worth its weight in gold. Goes from 20 percent to full charge in about hour and a half. Wifi nice and stable for me. Downloads as fast as my desktop pc. Only gripe is camera which is ok in decent light but pictures and video recording no where near the htc10 in terms of quality. Would recommend, although price puts it firmly in ipad territory...

Best tablet what I ever had
I have bought a Huawei M5 10 tablet recently. I have to say I had various tablets in the past 10+ tablets we are talking about and this Huawei M5 10 is the best I ever had.2k display. Super sharp picture, amazing colours.Fast charging what is very very fast... Super strong 7500 mAh battery. One charge is enough for days.USB C charging port what is much better than old micro USB.Solid metal case. Excellent quality, looks, feels premium product.4 GB RAM is more than enough for everything even games.I have tried to run multiple tasks, downloads, install same time. The speed was excellent. I was not able to slow it down.Camera is fine, got the usual Huawei Pro photo features like extended shutter time, time lapse, light painting etc.The fingerprint sensor very sensitive and much easier to unlock the tablet this way than type passwords. All together it is a very good tablet. It is highly recommended.

Flawed genius
This is a great tablet with one flaw that renders it near useless. When I connect my Bluetooth headphones and then try and watch a streaming video, the WiFi speed drops drastically making the stream buffer, go blocky and freeze. Apparently this is due to the Bluetooth and WiFi using the same antenna. Forcing WiFi to use 5ghz solves the problem but it is a hassle. If you want to use wired headphones or the inbuilt speakers, the performance is good. The screen quality is excellent although the responsiveness of the screen could be better.Overall the tablet is no good to me. If it has been sub 200 I would have considered keeping it but at circa £300, it is going back.
