A must have
If you need to hook up to older Allen Bradley PLCs, this cable is a must have. Works on Micro 800s, 1000s, and probably others. Install the driver per instructions & configure the Com associated with the driver. Randomly you may need to redo auto configure the device in RS Linx Classic. Works well and much cheaper than Allen Bradley's cable adapter.

Works fine with MicroLogix PLCs
Used to connect to a PLC MicroLogix 1100, works really well and you cannot beat the price. So much cheaper than the official Rockwell cable and this one gets the job done. Why pay more? Includes a mini CD with the drivers.

It Works
I didn't have to install any drivers. (My computer is covered in microcontroller "stuff".) I immediately saw a COM port and it was good to go on a MicroLogix PL1100 series. I believe it's a simple CH340 / RS-232 type device and could be created using a $2 board and a few wires if one had the goofy connector, but this was plug and play for me. I can't complain.
