10/10! If you are looking to up your homemade pizza game, look no further! This cooking steel will give your crust a well cooked and beautiful undercarriage. The size is great and fits PERFECTLY on the oven racks. Quite a bit of weight to it compared to a pizza stone but to be expected. Also compared to pizza stones, this thing is very durable and can take the high temperatures needed for making pizza, no having to worry about it cracking or breaking due to high heat. Very easy to clean, I can’t stress how amazing this product is if you make pizza at home a lot!

I love this steel!
After lots of searching for the right size, I found this one. It’s a nice savings over a “perfect” one. I really could not find any damage & the money saved buying a second was so worth it! I use it in my home oven to bake bread & pizzas. It gives these items a nice crunchy crust without burning. It stays in the oven full time and I have no issues cooking other things with it in there.

I have not found any marks or deformities that would justify this being labeled a 2nd. It's very heavy and holds the heat well. I think it is much better then a baking stone, it's also much easier to clean

Absolutely LOVE this thing!
I can't tell you how much I love this pizza steel because it's so much more than a pizza steel! I use it on the grill to make steaks and burgers (and it makes them restaurant quality because they cook so quickly) but I also leave it in the oven so when I put, say a tray of frozen fries or tater tots on top of it, the fries and tots cook faster, get crisper and they too become restaurant quality without deep frying.As for how it does with pizza... well, my husband says my pizza is now his favorite (yes, it's partially the dough (watch Vito Iacopelli on YouTube) but because the steel is so hot when I put the pizza on it, it cooks quick, has lovely bubbly edges and gets that lovely browning on the bottom. So, again, restaurant quality.I got the 3/16th inch and 14X20 one and I'm glad because I do leave it on my oven shelf, I think even another 1/16th if steel across the entire surface would make my shelves sag and I'd have trouble lifting and moving it. But believe me, this thing is one of the best purchases I've made for my kitchen. Everyone that has experienced the food that I make using it is really impressed and want the link to buy their own.I got two because several of my friends are gluten free so I have a dedicated one that is only for GF use. (Vito has a great GF pizza dough recipe using Authentic Foods Pizza flour available here on Amazon) I also got the factory seconds and quite frankly, I don't know what made them a factory second, but I can't find a fault with them at all.Just be sure to season them well and scrape any bits of food that get baked on, off of it, and when cleaning with hot water (and I use a scrubber for cast iron that looks like chain mail) remember to preserve the finish with a light coating of oil... it is steel and will rust if you let it air dry and don't protect it.

Great quality for the price
This is a great steel. I purchased the factory second because of the price, I can find nothing wrong with it. I actually purchased two of them. One is for me, I’m open baking bread and English muffins. The second one is for my brother, he will bake pizza in his.I seasoned both, very lightly, with a little bacon fat. I have kept mine in the oven for 3 weeks now, I could not be happier. Seems like it will last for a long time, it is very heavy. The crust on my bread could not be better.

Heavy, stays hot
Purchased this steal to make pizza on a gas grill. Pizza crust is cooked perfectly in 2 to 6 minutes depending on the size and amount of ingredients. It is very heavy, heats evenly, and holds the heat for a long time. Don't try to move it while it's hot.Now I use it in the oven with baking. Works well for artisan bread directly on it. Also evens out the temperature in the oven when baking pies and cookies.Glad I made this purchased.
