Well Built but No Instructions
This is a nicely built crimper. I've used crimpers before but not this particular style. Amazon says, "comes with instructions", but not with my copy so I had to do a little trial and error to get good crimps without crushing the pin insert end of the connector. The numbers on my copy of the crimper differ slightly from the Amazon illustration with the largest being 2.0mm instead of the 1.9mm shown. No biggie. The tool has a good ratchet mechanism which is used to hold the connector in place while the wire end is inserted and then the crimp is finished. Makes great crimps. It's coated with some kind of lubricant which stains so be careful no to lay it on your prize tablecloth when taking it out of the protective plastic bag. Wiping it down doesn't help because there's more lubricant in the bag so it's coated again the next time you remove it. You probably don't want it lubricant free, because this lubricant probably contains a corrosion inhibitor to preserve the tool. Very good tool for the price and works well, but when crimping, be sure to check the insertion distance so the actual connector doesn't get crushed in the process.

Amazing Tool
This tool has been very consistent with JST-XH and JST-PH connectors. Easy to use, highly recommended.

Works great for JST XH
I've tried several different crimping tools for JST and molex and this one is my go-to for JST XH pins. It's easy to use, easy to align and there is very little fuss, unlike the other ratcheting and non-ratchet crimp tools that I have.

The best tool for the job
the jig on these are perfect for all different sizes. don't bother with the slim plier looking models of crimpers. with this tool it's one simple squeeze and it crimps the wire and the insulation perfectly. I've bought and returned a few others because every time you try to crimp the insulation wings they fold over in random directions. these things do it straight without any additional pre bending or tinkering at all. Only single complaint is that occasionally the ratchet gets a bit jammed and you need to push a screw driver between the handles and then remember to realign the mechanism.

Great tool for a great price
Great Minu tool, way more affordable than the 200 dollars one this one does the same for way much cheaper, really recomend

Worked perfectly for JST-XH
The only thing I have tried to crimp so far was JST-XH. I used the JST-XH connector assortment from woshilaoDS. The crimpers work beautifully. The jaws are very precise. If you are new to these connectors like I was, make sure you watch some videos and understand which side is the wire side of the jaw and which side is the insulation side so you get the terminals placed in the jaw correctly. The most challenging part of the process to me was getting the strip length on the wire correct, if I was doing very many of them I would definitely need to buy a stripper that could precisely set and reproduce the same strip length every time. I was just doing the stripping freehand. Anyway, zero complaints about these crimpers, they work great.

Its really nice!
I have been using this crimper for years now. I believe I ordered this in 2022 if I recall, and I used it again just a few days ago right before 2026. So, annually, almost four years of use. Maybe, there is an accuracy issue. Maybe there are quality control issues. But I am a professional - and use wire crimping tools often. Maybe not this one specifically but I know my crimps. So unless I did something to set the wire incorrectly, I have a 100% success rate with JST-XH and the even smaller JST-PH connectors. This thing just works and I am very happy with this crimper. Because of my personal experience with this tool, this is the one I recommend to hobbyist who need something for their 3D printer JST-XH stepper wires because not only are my results repeatable but it is shockingly cheap for a tool. I work in Aerospace, and when I have Junior technicians / Engineering technicians I always ask one simple question: Do you know how to crimp wires? They always say yes, because it seems a simple task. But there is a small skill gap. You need to know what you are doing on some level or else your simple crimps will be bad. Without fail, every single time, these junior engineers cannot crimp properly - they do not know what they are doing. So when I see reviews stating this tool is bad, inaccurate, doesn't crimp, etc, my personal experience says it is the user and not the tool. Most users do not know how to crimp wires - even if they think they can.

Consistent crimps
Finally, a reliable crimper for DuPont pins. Have tried a number of others (including others from this brand) this was the only one that gives me at all consistent results, even with very fine gauge wire. I bought a second one for my field kit. You do need to bend the tabs on the typical pin to parallel, so they fit into the groove. (The generic pins usually have the insulation gripping tabs bent at very shallow angles) Would be helpful: if they labeled the slots (or included a slip of paper that translated from the marked units) with US wire gauges. Also helpful would be an insulation strip length gauge. The very finest slot seems to be for something other than a DuPont pin, but not sure what.

Possibly early days to be boasting of 100% success rate with these, but I've crimped about 20 connections so far and they have all worked ! I spent a long time trying to get my previous crimper (SN-28B copy) to crimp anything and they almost always failed; this crimper on the other hand has produced perfect crimps every time ! Be aware that there were no instructions supplied with this item, which was a little annoying, but if you look at the "Crimping Guidance" image accompanying the listing you'll see how the barrels need to be inserted into the crimper and from there it's fairly straightforward. I would advise that you prepare the barrels beforehand by making sure that the "wings" are parallel to each other (as supplied, mine tended to be splayed a little too far) and then insertion into the crimper is a whole lot easier. I think the crucial thing about these crimpers is that they "fold" the wings onto the sheathing and therefore bring everything in together nicely. Excellent product!

na een korte inloopperiode wordt deze ratelkrimptang een handige stuk gereedschap. Een beschrijving van het gebruik van de tang zou handig zijn.

I tested this on the Molex SL crimp contacts (for the 0.100" square headers) and JST XH contacts (the typical LiPo battery balance connector) on 22AWG PVC wire. The 1.6mm opening works with the Molex SL and 2.0mm MOSTLY works with the JST XH. The caveat with the JST XH is that the insulation grips are crimped to be slightly too wide to fit into the crimp housing so you have to take a pair of pliers and ever so slightly squish it sideways. I looked at the crimps under a microscope and both the conductor and insulation fingers looked neatly and cleanly rolled for both types of contacts. I did pull tests but don't have a force scale nor the official pull-force test pliers from Molex. What I did was pull on the connector in a vise until the wire came out and then pulled on a luggage scale in the vice until it felt the same. I don't know what the JST XH spec is but the Molex SL spec is 8.82lbs for 22AWG. Therefore I used that specification for both connectors. My test runs for the Molex SL resulted in 50%, 75%, and 150% of the specified pull force. The test runs for the JST XH resulted in 50%, 60% and 100%. I am not sure how consistent the official crimper would be. I should also add that even though it does not have a positioner like the official tools, the die is of the proper thickness for the both Molex SL and JST XH so all you have to do is line up the end of the crimp (wire-side) with the edge of the die. So no need to position the crimp contact midway in the die. The parallel jaws and EDM cut die make a huge difference for these tiny contacts where any mos-positioning of the crimp terminal in the die, or inaccuracy in the die matters a lot more. The parallel jaws come straight down on the crimp contact which makes crimping much less of a hassle because the crimp terminal is much more likely to stay in position. With plier-type crimpers, the hinged jaws roll and tilt the crimp contact as it comes down. You can get away with a little tilt in larger contacts but with tiny contacts a little tilt throws things off a lot more and destroys the crimp. So other than having no positioner and needing a second slightly squeeze from the side for the JST XH contacts, you save But other than that it works at saves $500+ from the official crimp tools.

Plus petite que je n'imaginais, mais conforme. A l'air solide et précise. A tester en condition réelle.
