The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Part One [Blu-ray]

Adore this show, there's a commentary of the first episode with the voice actors- it killed, me so funny!!! I am a little bummed I thought it was season 1 and it's JUST THE FIRST HALF- some reason anime shows are always broken into like 20 DVDs 😭 also stinks its only dvd&bluray so its two of the same thing but I'll share the with someone!Packing was perfect, brand new dvds and tickled to death to finally own it!

A great series to try if you haven't seen it. Uniquely funny, it has the entertainment that makes you want to know what happens next.

Incredibly funny and there really isn't any show like this. Definitely give this a chance if you are into anime comedy.

I came across this show on Netflix, and started watching it on a lark. By the end of the first episode, I was hooked. This show is hilarious! The second half of the first season was a little weaker than the first, but still really good. There's a fair amount of Japanese writing in a lot of the episodes, but they did a top notch job with the english translation and dub so that almost everything of any consequence is included in the dialog. The english voice actor is great too, with a perfect deadpan delivery that really sells the idea that Saiki is simply bored with everything.There's something for everyone in this show. The dumb jock, the guy who thinks he's a real-life anime superhero, the "perfect pretty girl" who becomes obsessed with making Saiki say "Oh wow!", the overly enthusiastic guy, the girl with a million part-time jobs, the pervy medium, the homeless magician and his homeless assistant who are both incompetent, a stuck up cat, and Saiki's obsession with coffee flavored jelly.

This show has taken its rightful place among the great comedy anime like Gintama, Nichijou, and Daily Lives of High School Boys. The main character is likeable because he has all these incredible powers but just wants to be left alone which leads to some very interesting and humorous situations. This show has also produced one of the greatest characters of all time. Of course I am referring to Nendou.My husband picked this up for me and I was surprised at the great quality of the blu ray. This set not only comes with blu rays and dvds, but also digital copies of the episodes which I thought was a pleasant surprise. It is also english dubbed or, if you prefer, english sub with japanese dub.Overall I am really excited to be able to add this awesome show to my collection. I would definitely recommend this to any anime comedy fan.

Reminded me a lot of another wacky anime; Gintama. Although the pacing and stories could had been more smoothly transitioned, there is a lot of humor and all around, just a fun time. Would recommend getting and adding to your collection. Maybe I'll even by part two down the line.

This isn't a review of the anime itself-- the anime is great and you should absolutely get it.However, the case was a little bent in the corners, and upon unwrapping the cover, I saw that the corner of the case was broken. The discs are in place, but the handle is loose, so they can move around the case pretty easily.
