20PCS 8Pin DIP SIP Round IC Sockets Adaptor Solder Type Gold Plated Machined,for 8 DIP OP-AMP IC, MCU Straight Socket

Got into rolling op amps recently. Did a roll in my Fosi BT20A PRO with (almost) no issues. Next was my Fosi V3. Removed the cover, low and behold the Sparkos 3602 would not fit because the caps on the board were to close to the sockets to allow them to fit. The only answer was a socket adapter to lift the op amp above the caps. These socket adapters are excellent. The robust gold plated pins fit easily into the socket and allow for easy removal when you want to reroll the op amp. I used the remaining sockets to house the original op amps I removed. I almost destroyed them trying to get the out in the beginning. Now if I wanted to reinstall the original op amps, it won't be an issue. These sockets saved the day. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to start on this kind of endeavor.

The ability to have solid contacts without applying heat to the chip is very good on breadboards and stripboards. I am sure I will need more.

This is a fantastic deal for 8 pins. They gold plated them tits for a better connection for hifi. There are a must in tight spaces for opamps swapping.

These have been serving me well. Whether it is actually a gold (AU) plating or not, I could not say. I recommend fluxing the pins and holes before soldering. This makes for a very clean looking job!

Scuffed rolling setup for my ae9, but gets the job done.

Nice machined socket. Quality seems to be as good as those sold by Mouser but much more affordable.
