Darlac Expert Bypass Pruner

Bought for my wife to replace a set she hadnt look after too well. Strong well made and stand abuse, keep them clean and should last for ever.

They're not bad for the money, but I didn't find them anything to rave about. I've spent that much on DIY store models and although these may be a little better, they don't live up to the hype. I did return them. The main reason for the return was noticing that the blades don't meet and cut precisely along their length, so cutting a thin stalk near the base of the blade would result in a tear rather than a clean cut. For general purpose garden work, they're not bad and should last well, but you won't get the best cut you could although that would of course cost you somewhat more. Take your pick, either pay this amount and get basic, or pay double or triple at least, and get a clean precise effortless cut.

I usually buy Felco secateurs, & although they are excellent, they are a bit expensive. I decided on the Darlac secateurs & I'm very happy with them. They cut very well & are extremely sharp. That said, they are on the heavy side.

These secateurs are easy and comfortable to hold. Adjust cut to suit. Small spanner provided to replace parts. Effective trimming for those who find other secateurs difficult to hold, work well.

These are brilliant, you dont need to spend more. Quality product, work really well. These should last a lifetime (as per the warranty). Easy to unlock and lock. Great cutting action (15/20mm no problem). Durable build and design. Replacement springs available for 5 years time or if lost due to poor maintenance. Everything needs a bit of "lube" especially when you get old.

These are ok and cut clean

Bought for my Dad who uses them all the time. They're now 3 years old and good as new. Still sharp. Still comfortable. Excellent!

Not the quality I expected for the price,the safety lock moves all the time so stops them opening freely,if you adjust it its either too loose or too tight.
