Is not a replacement for a knife blade
The Deep-Cut Blade and Housing Kit works well for what it’s designed to do — it cuts thicker materials within reason like chipboard, magnet sheets, and foam sheets. The cuts are clean and precise if you use the right pressure settings. However, it’s important to note that this is not a Knife Blade, so it won’t cut wood or very thick materials like balsa or basswood. If that’s what you’re after, you’ll need the Knife Blade (which only works with the Cricut Maker models). Overall, a solid blade for medium-thickness materials, but not a substitute for the Knife Blade.
