Ever since I had my old faucet replaced with a high-necked one with a pull-out head, water splashes all over the place whenever I use it. Worse, the shape of my sink, which is narrow behind the main sink and backsplash, and wider by the subsidiary or "salad" sink, made most of the splash guards on the market unusable for me.Not so with this compact splashguard. It just fits between the faucet and the built-in soap dispenser on the wider section behind the salad sink, and does an effective job draining some of the water the faucet throws off.There are pie-shaped wedges in the hole that fit around the faucet that need to be sliced with scissors, creating a snug fit. Unfortunately, the imprint of the hole itself is a bit smaller than the thick base of my faucet, so it doesn't fit all the way around. As the Kohler faucet is a standard size popular with plumbers, I'd hoped this hole would have been made bigger to accommodate the base, so water won't pool behind the faucet, defeating the whole purpose of the guard. Because of this, I will have to remove the guard periodically to make sure there's no water pooling or mold build up underneath. For that, I've regrettably subtracted a star.
