Almost every pair of athletic shoes I own wear out in the heel liner first. I thought this would be a great solution to help extend the life of shoes that are in otherwise good condition. So far, the results are mixed. The first pair of shoes I installed these are are still holding strong after 3 months of wear several times per week. So score that one a win. I installed on a second pair of trail running shoes (which I only walk in) and they are not holding as well. I have replaced the pads several times over the same 3 month period. The lining on these shoes is fairly smooth/shiny and the pads don't stick as well. Once they start to curl they stick to my socks and get uncomfortable quickly. Overall this is a nice idea. When they stay in place they are comfortable and have definitely extended the life of a few pairs of my shoes.

Effective, good value and easy toe repair.

Used it to patch a pair of skates that see some hard use. Figured the patches would last a time or two and need replacement. I'm going on 4-5 hard outings and the patch feels like it has no wear. The top is starting to pull away but it's partially because when I put my foot in. These skates get drenched with sweat. I'm honestly surprised they worked this well.
