These are good!
I am not Korean, but I think they have some great food.I've never made tteokbokki, but I tried it at BonChon Chicken and decided I quite liked it. I wanted to introduce my family to it, so I got these and some powdered sauce to try (link below). I thought my kid would like the funny shapes and that might allay any fears about trying something different. We made it together and the rest of the family tried it.First, it is not hard. If you've never made it, look up a recipe online (the package isn't very helpful on that note). The basic instructions aren't hard to master. All I really did was soak them for 10' in warm water, boil them up in some soup base (I had miso on hand and added some extra seaweed and chopped onion) until they were soft and chewy, and I mixed them with the sauce I had going in a separate skillet. The sauce came from here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZKHRHHT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title I thought the sauce was a bit thin, so I added some honey and crunchy garlic/onion chili oil and gochujang sauce to thicken it and let it simmer for a while. It was awesome! Everybody liked the sauce, even if it was a bit hot for some folks, they still enjoyed the sweet and spicy flavor. The rice cakes if you never tried them are a bit unusual, but not bad. They're not exactly like pasta you're probably used to- the rice flour comes out chewy and very thick and dense. You probably won't need as much per serving as you might assume. The package comes with 2 bags of rice cakes and I used both bags to feed 6 people along with a couple sides. We had a great time trying something different and I will definitely order these again.BTW- I don't know how long the sale will last, but right now they're 20% off and I'm ordering more as soon as I post this.

Good Product
Came in well packaged and air tight. Has two packs but no sauce. Easy to translate Korean and easy to store. I used them in a stir fry and ramen!

Good tteokbokki
Fresh and tasty tteokbokki. Shapes don't really make out, but they're cute anyway. Package came air tight.

A good side dish.
I've become a big fan of Korean rice cakes as a side dish. And when another brand I bought wasn't available, I tried this. It's pretty easy to prepare--just bring a pan of water to a boil, toss in the rice cakes, and cook for four to five minutes, then drain. Easy-peasy. I like that each packet is one serving; it's good when you're cooking for yourself, and my experience is that they aren't so good as leftovers. I think the shapes are cute. They taste much like the other brands I've gotten. However, they are a bit thicker than I like. If they were flatter, I'd definitely like them better. But I will buy them when my preferred brand isn't available.

I like this
I like these. They are smaller in diameter than what I can purchase locally, and they make for a tastier side dish or snack.
