This book doesn’t not disappoint!
This is not my first time reading a whiskey history book. My favorites are captured in the picture. That said, I was shocked by how much I didn’t know about America’s whiskey history. The author paints a vivid and fascinating picture from a pilgrimage of Scots, to wars, and prohibition, to the future of the U.S. whiskey industry all centered around Tennessee. This is a thorough, entertaining and well researched account of history and it might just shake up what you think you know.If you love history, or whiskey, then this book will not disappoint!

Absolutely incredible book on a rarely covered whiskey region
This is the most comprehensive book that I have come across on Tennessee Whiskey. It covers the history in a way that I haven't been able to find until the release of this book. A lot of attention is given to bourbon, and for a good reason, but it is refreshing to see Tennessee receive the credit they deserve. The author has also covered bourbon and Irish whiskey, and I can't wait to see other regions like Japan get documented in the detailed manner that Drew has accomplished with these previous books. Wonderful read!

Incredible Read
If you are a history buff and partake in the fine spirits, then this book is for you. Great explanations how facts become stories. I’d recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in American History, or whiskey in general. Such a great read.

I live in Tennessee and wow did I learn a lot of new things
I've lived in Tennessee for more than 20 years and thought I knew how Tennessee whiskey came about. I've even sneaked through the darkness of foothills of the Appalachians with a jar of homemade moonshine, but I had no real inkling of how Tennessee whisky came to be.The author lays out the detail based on well-researched history -- much of it having been nearly lost to history. Our neighbors to the north, Kentucky, have a story to tell, but the author of this book tells Tennessee's story as it is -- not some tale told by a distillery for customer benefit. I appreciate Tennessee whiskey much differently now and thanks to the author for capturing it in rich, readable detail.

History in an easy to read voice.
I usually have difficulty remembering details of history, but when it is presented with stories of people and culture it holds in my memory better. The author provides a very readable text that will be a reference to other researchers in the future.
