Included tools a must, so better than the key only options
I wanted to swap the blade, but even having watched the video on line on how to open the old key it was a slow process. I ended up carefully cutting away as I couldn't break it open. I think punching the top pin out would probably work but there weer various warnings about hitting components on the board if you did that. Blade did need filling down to fit but overall a very economical way to change.

A joke and it broke my original key.
Avoid. I’m going to complain to Amazon that this trader or item be taken off the market. It’s not fit for purpose the tools are pointless and it does not fit. I’m now left with a broken key absolutely useless.

Comprehensive VW 2 button van key kit
My old VW key was getting very worn and required replacing, so I ordered this kit with the intension of swapping the blade and electronics over to the new fob. The kit comes complete with a good tool kit to enable you to easily swap the blade over and also to extract the proximity deadlock transmitter.Would recommend for any VW key replacement

Stripping my key down and found there was no space to put my key chip in the new one had to go dealer in the end and did not cost much more

Good Quality
The unit itself is well-made, it is sturdy and hard-wearing. It is almost as heavy as the original. I struggled a bit trying to open it. The tiny screwdriver that is meant to open it is not good enough, it just damages the screw on the unit. So find a better small screwdriver to open this unit.

Beware of 2015 cars as have ibus and electric systems don’t recognise
