Great little powder shakers. I'm currently using them for use with baking soda in my bathroom. One shake is all you need. BAKING SODA has antibacterial properties. It may have skin benefits if you have certain skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. (Google search) Previously, I was using relatively pricey liquid hand soap and was going through it like crazy. Having switched to this alternative will not only save on unnecessary expenses, but it will have some health benefits too. NOTE: the plastic cover lid when shipped, is stuck to the Shaker lid. So just give it a few turns on the Shaker to tighten and then remove the plastic cover lid. Great quality! Highly recommended!

The holes are definitely not large enough for chilli flakes or coarse herbs as described. The plastic caps on them are already cracked in spots. Very disappointing as they were bought for a chilli fiend.
