I really bought this for the helmet lock, the grip lock was just a bonus. I really like the helmet lock because the cable is long enough that I can sit my helmet on top of the handlebars instead of dangling by the D-rings down the side. The only downside I have found is that the two halves must line up exactly or the lock won't close. It get's easier with practice, but initially it was a pain.

Gave it 4 stars because it doesn't fit my custom grip which are too large for this lock grip to fit around. I still use it to lock my helmet but lock it to my sissy bar instead.

I recently bought a 2007 Honda ST1300 motorcycle and was looking for an easier way to secure it from potential theft than using the older style front disc brake rotor style.I ordered the Abestme motorcycle handlebar lock grip with the cable helmet lock not knowing if it would fit this bike or my 2014 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager. Well, I'm very happy to report this motorcycle lock works on both bikes very well! The lock is made out of aluminum so it is light weight but it is also pretty strong. I really don't see anyone prying this off easily. Most locks are intended to make a bike harder to steal so the thief moves on to the next easier to steal bike. This device does that for sure. The lock came with two keys, rubber pads, and the steel wire rope that can be used to secure helmets or anything it can wrap through.Overall, this is a great lock and deterrent to keep my bikes from being stolen. Of all the locks of this style on Amazon I've seen, this is by far the nicest one.

Scratched my bars

This looks awesome and feels great but just doesn't fit on my 1996 honda shadow.

The media could not be loaded.  The Box that held the product was damaged, but the product itself, wasn't. I gave it 4 stars because the use of it is a little tricky. It's only made for one helmet and it's a little difficult to put on the bike and wrap your helmet around it. I own a Honda Rebel 500 and the mirrors are the stock. So buyers beware when purchasing it. It's good for the bang, but if you plan on locking anything else besides a helmet to your bike with this rope, good luck.

Don't be an idiot like me and go "Oh, That looks nice. I want one and it says it fits motorcycles" and just click Buy Now.I had replaced my the OEM Harley Grips with Willie G Skull Grips so this product didn't fit my bike. There is a maximum size in the ad, I just didn't read far enough to see it :(I did give it to a buddy, it fit his bike and he loves it. It is sturdy, can't slip off once locked and it comes with a few rubber inserts for the grip and lever portion of the device so that there is a proper fit for different sizes. The Helmet cable I personally wouldn't use because I wouldn't want to indent the inner faceplate shield of my helmet and cause unwanted wind noise. My buddy however says that this has not been a problem yet.
