Scratch & Sketch Extreme (Trace Along)

If you’ve never tried scratch art, you’re missing out! This was a gift for my 8 year old, but it’s very fun. The images are nice, very colorful, and not all the same. I was expecting the pages to be the same as far as color scheme, but that’s not the case. My daughter spent nearly an hour working on just one of the images. She also said it was very calming and relaxing. I will definitely be getting more.

Love this book. It is perfect for people who want to release creativity without a lot of thinking. One picture can take me hours to do. I love the hardback book that helps me be able to do anywhere and the tool it comes with is great for this book.

So let me start off by saying I NEVER wrote reviews so this product must be good! I love these and have bought almost all the books PLEASE make more of them! As an adult I love doing these so much better than coloring honestly I can do these for hours! And the paper is very sturdy I do mine is the sauna so it can take the sweat as well and not get messed up! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE MORE AND WITH MORE RAINBOW! Those are my favorite! MAKE MORE MANDALA AND EXTREME ONES! Just make more ❤️❤️❤️❤️

These books are amazing. I buy them whenever they go on sale. I have at least two copies of all the “extreme” series, if not more. They are the only ones I have found, that come with a great tool and not a useless wooden stick. I have given many as gifts and everyone has loved them. They scratch well and every page has a nice glitter glitter page under the black paint with an equal number of the silver, gold or multicolored pages. Some are even green. There is also a nice range of difficulty levels. I use a very fine sand paper to lightly sharpen the tool when it starts to get dull so there is no need to buy extra tools. There is nothing negative that I can say about these books. If you are on the fence about the Scratch & Sketch Extreme, just buy it, it’s a great way to decompress.

I love this one so much that I bought it twice. Don't get me wrong, I like the other scratch and sketch books from this manufacturer but this one is by far my favorite. The other books are geared more towards kids where this one is definitely more for older children and adults. They also just put out another "extreme" scratch and sketch book that I can't wait to get my hands on but that's another review. The pages seem to have a thicker coating that can be a bit more difficult to scratch but I keep a variety of scratchers and sharpen them with an emory board. I actually like the thicker coating because I can slide it into my bag and be reasonably sure that it won't get damaged unlike others that have a very flimsy binding with tissue paper between the pages. In short, if you are an adult looking for hours of relaxation on the go, look no further. If you are buying for a teenager, go for it. If you are looking to keep young kids peacefully occupied, pick one of the other excellent books in this series but not this one.

Es un libro muy lindo, las ilustraciones no son tan complicadas aunque tienen muchos trazos, pero aún así podrás tardar un par de horas con cada una, y puedes agregar detalles sin problemas a los diseños, los dibujos en blanco son un poco difícil de colorear por qué es un papel brillante como encerado y los plumones o colores no los absorbe, tienes que esperar a que seque o se manchara todo, yo use sharpies por qué secan rápido y marcan todo, pero aun así fue difícil no mancharlo, es pequeño un tamaño media carta, como una libreta forma francesa, al parecer todas las hojas son brillantes con papel holográfico, al final trae 10 hojas azules para que se hagan dibujos, pero no trae hojas extras para rascar, el papel es de buena calidad, no se rompe al rascar, la encuadernación es de pasta dura con aro de metal que me parece muy útil para maniobrar y trae un rascador de plástico con un resorte en la pasta para que no se pierdan. Me gustó, volvere a comprar está marca, este libro es más para adultos por los detalles, pero un niño con paciencia puede hacerlo, los que dicen extreme son más complicados, para niños recomendaría otras versiones de la marca que no digan extreme, solo hay que revisar que los dibujos vengan marcados, por qué hay varios que vienen con el dibujo al lado para copiar, a mi en lo personal me parece más fácil los que vienen marcados aunque el dibujo sea complicado, ya que solo hay que seguir la línea, es un muy buen libro para desestresar y pasar el tiempo, está un poco caro, pero para el material lo vale por qué las hojas para rascar suelen ser caras, aunque se puede conseguir en oferta, no duden en comprarlo no se arrepentirán. Un consejo si quieres libros con líneas busquen los que dicen Trace along en la portada, los que no dicen nada son paginas sin líneas para dibujar a mano alzada, la mayoría de los títulos tienen las dos versiones, normal y trace along.

This one has 3 background multicolor, silver and gold. Some designs are more dificult and tiny and I suggest a better tool than the stick provided. You can use bamboo skewers, toothpicks, metal skewers, needles, ceramic tools, calygraphy pen, and you can buy better scratch pens on amazon. I like the variety of themes it's quite varied and relaxing and I really enjoy the collored metalic background

Bought this as a Christmas present for my mother who loves scratch art. She usually has lots of loose pieces scattered around, so I thought a book would be a lovely way for her to keep everything together. The selection of designs is great & the ring-binder style keeps the pages and individual pieces neat & in one place. She’s going to love it!
