steam-distilled pure and natural Mastic oil
This steam-distilled pure natural Mastic oil seems like a quality product:* The packaging is attractive, coming in a classy, attractive box with clear information on the outside, nice enough to give as a gift. (The text is actually readable without a magnifier or glasses. The same information is also on the bottle.)* The oil comes in a sturdy amber glass bottle .* Inside is also a glass dropper and a blank gift certificate card (in case you are gifting this to someone?).* The oil is from India.* Packing date is May 01, 2024 and the expiration date is April 01, 2026. (So fairly fresh and has a long shelf life. )* I like that it's available under the Subscribe & Save program, making it more affordable, though the current price of $11.99 seems reasonable.* The oil felt good on my skin, feeling light and not greasy while leaving my skin feeling moisturized. (I tried is undiluted on my hands, but could see this being a great carrier oil for other essential oils.)

Mastic Oil
I have ordered several different products from Organic Zing in the past and they have always worked out perfectly in all of my projects and skincare creations. I am really excited to try out this Mastic oil because it has historically been used for things such as: cuts, ringworm, wounds and other inflammatory skin concerns. It is derived from the resin of a tree known as Pistachia lentiscus and there are many other benefits published in the scientific literature. I like to make my own skin balms and this is a perfect addition to a current recipe that I make frequently. I am going to use a 1% usage rate and see how it comes out. I notice that it doesn't have a strong smell or scent, its very mild and a bit woody, which I suppose is expected base on its source. It is almost clear and appears to have a thicker consistency when compared to regular essential oils. This is a pure and natural product with no additives, it must be diluted with a carrier oil prior to topical use.

mild scent
This is a very mild scented oil- kind of foresty. I have added it to some oil blends I make and it mixes well. The bottle is good and comes with a dropper.

I'm using it for my hair!
I have very curly dry hair and before wash day I'll oil up my hair (not a lot) and let it stay on a bit then wash it. It seems to help with the dryness. I haven't tried it on my skin yet. But it seems like it could be used in many ways.

Organic Zing Mastic (Pistacia lentiscus) Oil
Have used mastic gum and that was that. This oil is reputed to help with things like skin issues including cuts, so was happy to get a chance to try it. I do like it. Think it is helpful. Smell not an issue. Not greasy. No bad reactions from use.Like this product.

Not a strong scent.
I find the scent very faint and strange. I'm a fan of the Greek mastic gum and the smell of the mastic tree. I thought this would be related to that but it's something else.

Carrier Oil
This is an extremely mildly smelling oil that is basically neutral. It is light weight and runs like water. This can be used for massages, as a carrier oil, etc. Overall this is ok, but probably not the most cost effective option out there.
