I have been using this for two months now, since it was gifted to me for Christmas. I use it twice a week and have had no issues with setting temps and keeping them during my fermenting and proofing stages. I like that I can fold the ends up around my bowl during proofing and fermenting. I just wrap and loosely tie my apron or dish towels around it to keep the ends up and the results are great.In the winter a proofing mat is a must and I can go from mixing, laminating, shaping, proofing and I to the fridge for cold proofing all within 6 to 8 hours. Times will vary based on your formulas, of course.

Great product as far as I can tell but I'm not sure because it's all but unusable for me! Because of a strong smell like similar to gasoline when you turn it on. Absolutely sick making, wouldn't want children or animals around it, and I'm trying to figure out how I can use it in some room of my house or something where I can actually do what I bought it for. I've tried to burn that smell off by having it on the porch running for about 2 hours at 95° to 105°, to no avail. It's still smells horrible every time I even plug it in and turn it on at 85° to 95°.I need something that functions this way and which will seemingly function this well, for very needed health purposes and fermenting vegetables, making sauerkraut, kefir, breads etc. So I'm going to keep it but I am not happy with it. And I generally don't give negative reviews of anything.Manufacturers of this product need to fix this problem!! And when they get it fixed they need to announce up front on their Amazon entry that they have gotten it fixed!

Good if you do not like heating up your kitchen for the oven proofing. It does turn off automatically which could be a plus. I like that I can store in cabinet and take out as needed. Have used several times when needed especially during the colder months.

The first time I used it, it seemed ok. The second time it just was "warm", and certainly not 95 degrees like the controller said. The third time I used it I felt no warmth after a general warm up period. Disappointed.

I made one beautiful sourdough loaf with the help of this but by the second loaf it stopped working. Bummed.
