I’ve had this dongle for about five months or so it has not damaged. Cord has not broken. It is tough built to last and I’m always on the go. Highly recommended.

Unit works on every type of SD card I own, & then some... room to grow makes me happy.

I bought this product in attempt to get the pictures on it from my late Uncle because his funeral is coming up and my sd card had photos of him. This had been in our family camera for years. I scrolled through the photos and was crying and decided I want these on my computer. So I bought this in hopes we could get his photos. It wasnt working and said disk error on my laptop. I put it back into my camera after giving up and now it says “memory card error”. All of my precious photos are GONE please be careful and dont buy this device!!! It got rid of some of the last photos I had of my uncle and those CANT be replaced. I am so sad and don’t know what to think other than I shouldnt have been so selfish to have bought this thing and trusted it. Truly saddening.

While most memory card readers are configured to be able to access one memory card at a time through USB, this device can do that of course. AND it can enable you to access two different memory cards at the same time! While I don't have a wide variety of memory card configurations, I did test it with two microSD cards - one bare, and one in a microSD to SD adapter. It recognized them both and enabled me to copy files from one card to the other without having to "park" it on my PC in between! This seems like a very nice device with lots of flexibility. I'm giving it 4 stars because I wasn't able to test any of the configurations with memory sticks that I don't have. Otherwise it was a 5 star performance!

Did not read PRO Duo or Compactflash I got an error message for duo and the compactflash card was not even recognized I wanted to see if i could read cards from an old handicam. The card reader did not work. I just gave up on the old camera, will buy a new one. Returned the card reader

Worked as indicated. No software to install on computer. Just plug in & insert memory disk.

No question, this works, and it's a sleek and reassuringly solid design - but, whilst not the most expensive 1 in 1 USBC reader on Amazon, it's also certainly not the cheapest at £18.99 (price at time of review) - I've reviewed another which worked perfectly at £12.79 (time of review), went up to £16.99, and is now on offer at £9.98. There are quite a few others there for around that £10 mark, too. Then again, I do like the LEDs which confirm connection and also the USBA to USBC adapter, which stays attached to the cable so you won't lose it. You can pay £4 - £5 just for the adapter on its own, so that pulls the value for money back into a better range. So, a perfectly good hub with some nice extra features; I'm happy with it, but you can save a little if you shop around.

It allowed us to get the data off of the card that crashed in my sons camera. I was able to use Linux tools to get most of the pictures off, even some he didn't realize were on there.
