Shimano M375 brake caliper 2017

Bought to replace generic calipers which were poor quality. These are perfect for the job on an e bike . They work well

I used this caliper to replace my front brakes in a recent bike upgrade. The product was of good quality which goes without saying really as it is a Shimano & I am very pleased with the end result. Fitting it was a doddle, it took about 30 minutes to fit the new parts to my old focus hybrid & so far it has been working very well on my daily commute to work. The braking force & overall performance has been greatly improved & more importantly the wet weather breaking is by far superior to my previous standard lever brakes. In all its a good upgrade or replacement product depending on what your looking to do.

Having just completed an e-bike modification to my hybrid, I was somewhat concerned with the rear brake performance given the extra weight and increased momentum. Didn't like the idea of spending a lot of money on the e-bike kit and then putting myself at risk with poor braking performance. I already had disc brakes but there was no option of converting to a hydraulic system, so the option was to source an improved manual (cable) calliper. Having read numerous reports for the Shimano M375 I decided this was the option to go for. The calliper fitted straight onto the existing mounting, fitting and setup took no more than 10 minutes. So what about performance, with the OEM calliper it was necessary to apply significant force to the brake lever to achieve the desired result (ie stop the bike lol) but with the new Shimano the required force applied to the brake lever was much less to achieve the same result. The braking lever action was also noticeably smoother and braking felt much more progressive. So overall I'm convinced this was money well spent, ship and a ha'po'rth o tar comes to mind.

Compared to similarly priced hydraulics then these win hands down and compete with the Deore hydraulics I have used in the past. They are cheap and allow you to customise the levers and cables to your preference. This makes maintenance easy and faff free. They do take careful initial setting up but from then on are easy to tweak and adjust as pads wear. The pads themselves wear well, brake well and easy to source when they need replacing. For me the feel and control at the lever is better than I have had with hydraulics and while they may need a little more force to get the same stopping power it also means you won't be propelled over the bars or wiped out unexpectedly.

Had Zoom brand front disc brake on my e-bike. The Zoom pads seem to wear down very quickly and required adjustment after 50km or so. They were also not very effective in stopping power. The Shimano pads are twice the surface area so stopping is better and I assume wear rate better. It took me about 30mins to change from Zoom to Shimano after watching a YT video on how to do the process.

A bit heavy compared to some calipers but well constructed and a fair price for an item that should last.

Bought one of these to upgrade my new mountain ebike brakes that were from a cheaper brand, where the bikes original brakes within a week was getting kind of scary and I had no confidence in braking, in fact, so I upgraded the back brake first with this one and now, the difference is so much better where I have confidence with stopping where I need to stop, I am totally happy that I upgraded to this on an cheaper £600 ebike that I now want to get another one for the front brake, took less than 10 minuets to put it on the bike

I bought this after having all new brakes put on my bike they were so awful so I thought get one quality brake caliper and see if there's an improvement. This is a different affair altogether so much better no sticking much better performance all round in fact so good I've ordered one for the back as well. I can't recommend these brakes enough so glad I got them.

Comme on le voit sur la photo je voyage avec un vélo très très lourd , pourtant j'ai choisi de retirer mes freins hydrauliques d'origine pour lui installer des freins mécaniques , la raison est que les freins mécaniques sont moins fragile et beaucoup plus facile à réparer sur le bord de la route , mais il faut que les freins soient efficaces et durable , alors j'ai installé ces mâchoires mécanique Shimano et des disques de la même marque , le résultat est bluffant d'efficacité , c'est sûr qu'il faut appuyer un peu plus sur les manettes de frein pour obtenir le même résultat qu'avec les mâchoires hydraulique d'origine , mais cette installation mécanique est largement suffisante pour stopper net tout le poids de mon équipement . Il est certain que la qualité de ces mâchoires Shimano y sont pour beaucoup sur l'efficacité de mon freinage , mais je vous recommande quand même de leurs installer aussi des disques Shimano de qualité équivalente ainsi que des gaines et des câbles bien rigide , donc si vous souhaitez vraiment obtenir un freinage mécanique presque aussi efficace que de l'hydraulique il faut faire cela . Perso je vous recommande vivement cette installation de qualité si vous voulez faire des économies tout en ayant un super freinage . A bientôt 😉

Pinza freno Shimano. Facile installazione essendo un flat mount. Se cambiate pinze cambiate anche il disco freno. Prese in abbinamento al rotore Shimano Sm-rt6. Ottima fattura. Monta pastiglie resina Shimano b05.

Es un buen producto la composición es de buena calidad y enseguida se siente la diferencia del frenado

Los compré porque se me partieron los que tenía montados por un golpe. La diferencia de calidad es brutal. Frena mejor (casi tan bien como los hidráulicos aunque tengas que hacer más fuerza), no hacen ruido y se le ve muy robusto (es un poco pesado) Me ha gustado tanto que he comprado otro para sustituir al que no se me rompió
