I have a male cat the sprays when stressed. Will this work on the furniture? Why is this 5 stars and larger size 4 stars

Yes this will work on furniture. I use it on everything my cats spray and have yet to have anything go wrong with it. As to the different ratings it may have been a mistake that I did not catch because I would rate this product 5 stars every time. With 10 cats in my house there is always someone stressed, angry or just territorial that I have to clean up after and this has yet to fail me. I hope this helps you too.

Does it damage hardwood floor? I read a comment stating they got the order out but somehow messed up their floor but They didn't have pictures.

Actually, I have never had a problem with it on wood floors! The damage is from urine! Anti icky poo doesn't have any chemical that would harm the floor. Dog urine caused the finish to come off the hardwood!

The solution seems to remove the urine odor, but I still smell a leftover scent. Is that just the product or do I need to further treat the spot?

Mister Max Anti-Icky-Poo has 2 actions; the first is an immediate reduction of odor - the second is a longer term action that keeps on working for several weeks to eliminate residual odor. I have been using this product for 8 years and have found it to be VERY effective in removing pet odors. Since I have 3 dogs and a number of cats I do use it fairly often. If you want to retreat the area, wait a week to see if you need to, then by all means - retreat. One thing to know about treating pet urine in carpeting - the product will be able to treat the carpet itself, but will not adequately soak into the carpet padding. It might be necessary to pull up part of the carpet to be able to treat the underlying carpet padding as well.

Is it safe for my cats to wipe the walls and bottom of my litter box before put fresh cat litter in?

why would you need it on the bottom of the litter box?. If they are pooping or peeing on the walls, yes wash it off with this product. It is a good product, best results that I have found is to use a black light , turn the lights off in the area to search and you will find illuminated areas soak with the spray and your should be done.
