The BEST RICE COOKER IN THE WORLD. I think. ^_^
Having a Korean mother, she came back from South Korea and insisted that she needed this pressure cooker in order to make rice. My initial thought was "$600?! You have to be absolutely out of your mind." I have since that time, reevaluated my thoughts and have come to terms that this makes the BEST RICE IMAGINABLE. Coming from someone that eats rice every day (me), that definitely says a lot.I have still yet to figure out what half of the buttons say or mean on this thing, but I know that when I put rice in there with some water and hit start, this thing gets going. Takes a little while, but the rice in there can survive a few days when locked into it's air tight cell. This is probably what surprises me the most about this thing. It even gives you a whistle and STEAM shoots out of the top of this thing like a Yellowstone geyser to let you know you are about to eat the most steamy, delicious, whistling rice you have ever had in your life!I remember making rice in college in one of those "ordinary rice cookers", and having the rice tasting alright, like I knew what I was doing. But that rice didn't last more than 2 days in the rice cooker. After that, if you ate the rice as my suitemate or roommate, it was eat at your own risk!Delicious, lasting rice, I love you Cuckoo rice cooker... OMG I'm hungry...

Hard to use, not a lot of options, cheaply made.
The lid doesn't close properly and the instructions are in Korean. It cooks rice but it is a lot less versatile than my old Horiuchi. Unfortunately, the return window is closed so I can't send it back but if I could, I would. Don't waste your money (and it's a lot of money) on this dog.

good buy pricy
We have used the same model in South Korea. It is sold about the half price in Korea. Although it is a pretty good rice cooker, I think the price is too high in US.

Best Rice cooker!
Had this since January 2014 and it's still working! My rice has never tasted better. I have used many of those cheaper brands you would find at your local retail stores, and they have never lasted me more than a year. This is an expensive purchase, but it's worth the investment for delicious rice!

I hate it!
I used just one year and the pressure function doesn't work any more. All of my friends had the same experience. Don't buy this junk! They just put their money into Ad. not development.

My 2nd Cuckoo IH pressure Rice Cooker, always trustable
This is my 2nd IH heating Rice cooker from Cuckoo. It does the best job always. For its performance, I would give 5 stars but I am giving 4 stars since it is missing one function that was on the older model. I wish I can give 4.5 stars.I have used many electric rice cooker from non-pressure models to non-IH-but-pressure models from various Japanese and Korean makers. The IH pressure cooker is the best but others are fine too, depending on your budget. There are twice more expensive models from Cuckoo called "multiple cooker" instead of Rice cooker but this Rice cooker can do more than cooking rice so I don't think the multiple cooker is worth the price.IH heating is good because (1) it cooks rice very fast because the heat source is the pot itself. It is like 270-degree heating that you will never be able to get from any type of stove cooking (2) due to the "whole pot" heating, the cooking is very uniform no matter how much rice you are cooking at a timeThis product lost one star from me just because that this model does not "speak" but only beeps. The other Cuckoo model that I used to use (used for 7 years than died) speaks for every action such as "start white rice pressure cooking", "steam is coming out", "your rice cooking is complete" and it was very convenient.Based on my previous experience, if you ask, I would say Cuckoo product has good quality since I used it at least once every two days for 7 years before it broke. Based on my current experience added, Cuckoo IH pressure rice cooker cooks rice the best and it has not been a question.

really good rice cooker
Great Product, the rice that it cooks is fluffy, chewy.Worth the $ I spent on itThe only thing that bothered me about this rice cooker is the fact I can't get it to make porridge in it... theres no option in it like my zojirushi rice cooker

Great warm rice all the time
Great warm rice all the time. Not going bad after 2-3 days. It cost a little but it’s worth it.
