Not paint, but it's effective.
The marker works pretty good considering, but one might have to reapply for better results. The markings can glow up to eight hours, but for these results it requires decent sun light, or UV lights (even if it's just for a minute).Overall, for the price and after testing glow paint, this product produces a better and longer glow.-To remove, scrape away and use alcohol.Photoluminescent paint keeps my nights bright.

Does what is says
Does what it says, but not what I wanted. It came up as I was searching for black light reflective paint. The 'marker'/ wax crayon stayed on plastic through a wash in the dishwasher. I didn't test to see how long it will glow after the light source is removed, but it does not luminense in black light. Good product! If you want a glow-in-the-dark application.

Order something else
Maybe I was expecting too much, but this is a very waxy product and is hard to use on any surface as a detail marker. It would be good for marking on larger items in large letters or numbers. I was trying to use it to outline some buttons on a device so they would be illuminated during limited darkness. This item did not work. I tossed it, too much trouble to return it. It also took about 2 weeks to arrive.

Better than expected; solved a big problem
I have this great little thermal coffee container that keeps coffee hot for hours. It is also spill-proof when I click the button at the top. All is great with it, but the coffee comes out on either one side or the other, so when you drink it you need to be sure your mouth is positioned where the slit is located. To solve this problem, as many people who use this have, you simply make a mark where the opposing slits are located and no more problems, right? Well, what about when you're drinking your coffee in a dark room in the morning, before you face the world of light while still waking up? For a while, I was keeping a small flashlight by my bedside to use when I thought I lost track of where the slit is located. If you miss by too much, you will have coffee running down the side. The flashlight idea, while it worked, was annoying. After all, if you want to wake up gradually in the dark you don't want to occasionally use a flashlight. That's when I thought glow-in-the-dark. I was on a mission to get something like a small marker that I could use just like the dark marker I used for when it was light out. I couldn't find anything like this in local stores, so I thought about Amazon to see what they might have. You never know what you're going to get based on the description and photo. So for the $12 or so, I figured I would take a chance on this Sakura marker. I was totally ignorant about glow-in-the-dark markers and didn't know what to expect.Well, I have to say this thing is great. It goes on like a soft crayon. Just two swipes on my coffee mug and that was it. That was months ago, and it just has not worn off, even after many washings. And, it always glows in the dark, just like it's supposed to. I'm not sure what the technology of this is, but I always thought you needed to charge it with light for it to work. I guess not since the mug sits all night in the dark and the glow is always strong. So I've used about 1/1,000,000th of what's there, wondering how I will use the rest of it. Eventually I'll consider another use for it, but for this use, I'll tell you that it was worth every penny. I'm a fan!

Great glow, not so fun to use
As far as the glow, it's impressive. As another reviewer stated it's the consistency that's frustrating to use. Depending on your use you might get very annoyed with this. You cannot do any fine or detailed work with this "marker." It a soft waxy stick and although it says Solidified Luminescent Paint on the marker itself it's very soft and doesn't stick well to all surfaces. If you have a more coarse surface you might have better results, I did not like the results with smooth surfaces only those with a little texture to them.

brightest glow I have EVER seen
EDIT: I've now bought 3 of these "markers" from TCP Global Corp. This time I tried marking the rubber end of a cane I use. The brightness of the glow still amazes me, even on the black rubber cushion on the end of the cane. And that is without any white base coat, just applied directly to the black rubber. Truly amazing!ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought one of these from a different seller, and when it arrived I was truly stunned by the amount of light it puts out. With a short exposure to light it will glow quite brightly, which is perfect for the project I was doing (marking off the parking spots in a small two car garage). I cannot stress this point enough; you will be amazed by it's efficacy. It's consistency is perhaps the most negative aspect. It's like a crayon that has been put in a microwave for a few seconds. Not that it's hot or anything, it's just not quite solid and rather difficult to make a mark with. Consequently I wouldn't recommend this if you're doing any sort of finely detailed work.I'll end with a recap of it's strongest aspect: it does in fact glow and quite brightly! It's a bargain price as well; buy several of them now and use them as the need arises!

Great glow after a short time
I ordered this so I could mark a large calendar that would appear visible in the dark. I wanted to track a personal goal and thought it would be great to see my progress after the lights went out so I could be reminded to act, even if I'd forgotten before lights out!At first, I was unimpressed - I even applied for a return and was prepared to write a sour review. I didn't see the glow-in-dark on my calendar page and thought the marker was just a hoax. Especially disappointing because of the price point. However, after a couple days (and thankfully before I could process the return) I noticed that the marks I'd make started glowing brightly. I have no idea why it took time but from that moment forward it was quite bright in the darkness of night and performed my intended task, of reminding me to act, VERY well.I really like this marker!

Werkt niet
Op lichtknopjes, behang en op de klok is er niets van zichtbaar in het donker. Helaas een miskoop
