I'll use these for fishing. I wanted to use them for mounting keys but they're too tight for that. So be advised.

To work with these, you absolutely need a split-ring pliers (to initially open), a medium size flat head screwdriver (to open up to desired size), and a needle nose pliers (to hold ring while sliding your item to the ring)

Beautiful ring that was nearly by impossible to open enough to put key on. Once I finally did manage to open it enough to slide the key onto the ring, the ring was left damaged and didn’t spring back completely closed.

These are way too tight to be useful. I was hoping to use for dog tags, but you need to be able to pry rings open without having to use a sharp tool, risking cutting yourself. I don’t know what these would be good for, but they’re definitely not for dog tags.

You will never get anything on these....NEVER..... they are way too tight...Useless
