Thin story, flat characters
A disappointing book from the usually engaging writer Georgia Beers. One woman is an accountant--boring, cautious, unimaginative--and the other is in marketing--flashy, beautiful, rich. Stereotypes, anyone? This is a 15 minute story spread across multiple chapters. It seems from Beers' website that she's working on several more books with the goal of publishing more, faster. Unfortunately, this may result in more stories like this one that has two-dimensional characters about whom it's hard to care. I've read every Beers story to date, and own most of them, but I'll think twice about buying the quick-turnover, future books.

Good reading with in depth unresolved emotional turmoil that
Is the idea of Love will solve our emotional attachment issues is touched on effectively by Georgia. The characters seem real like I want to know their relationship with each other will be evolving, forever and they will find happiness with each other, at least I, the reader want it to be so.... And this is excellent literary writing that is leaving you wanting more.

Being an accountant can be less taxing than taking account of your life.
Another splendidly written novel by Georgia Beers. Lacey and Alicia have gifts and faults played out to perfection as the story unfolds. Falling in love can be an unintended consequence of finding hope, living life and opening up to yourself and others.

No book is perfect. Jane Austen had contemporary critics that shredded her works. If you read what they said and squint, you can kind of see what they mean. The true measure then, isn't if you can find a flaw, it's the experience while you read. I immediately liked Lacey. I understood her attraction to Alicia. I loved their playful bantering and how Alicia pulled her out of comfort zone. I felt like the supporting characters were friends. As importantly, it's been a while since I could sit for more than twenty minutes or so and just read. Too many things need to be done and compete for attention. I get antsy. It's rare to feel transported. That's what this book did. I read all the way through in one sitting, just letting the writing and my innate love of reading take over. I haven't felt like that in a long time.So I can't say the book is perfect. The experience, however, certainly was.

Average
The characters were flat and too predictable. I have read much better fanfiction and I didn't have to pay 10 dollars for the experience.

A Really Intense Read
Georgia Beers did an incredible job in writing a well balanced storyline filled with both wonderful chemistry, heartwarming interactions and heartbreaking emotional pain.

Top book, like all the ones before...
For me, Georgia Beers has turned into my favourite lesbian romance author. I never loved to read this genre but I can say I am getting quite addicted to her style. The characters are strong, independent and sometimes a little mysterious but successful women and the story line just captures you from page one and makes it hard to put the book down. Every time I’d love to be one of the characters in the storyline because it is written with so much dept, warmth and passion.

OK
GB is a solid writer with plenty of great books behind her (I've read them all). However, let me start by saying that not all her readers love dog slobber. It seriously made me gag a little bit. I always try to be fair in these reviews and, like my recent review on Melissa Brayden, I feel these books are now just being churned out. Dare to Say was an average climax to a series - and Right Here, Right Now fell flat. Took a while to engage in the story - pretty difficult when you have a room, a dog and an older lady who seems to just eat a lot of food. I'd prefer to wait a while and have a book like 96 Hours or Little Bit of Spice in my hand.

Georgia Beers at her best
Another winner from one of my favourite authors! Masterful mix of romance, fun, drama and a cute dog :)The descriptions of eye-sex are perfect as well, you could feel the heat coming off the page and not just because I read it all in one sitting during a particularly sunny day in the garden.

Anther good one
I generally now just buy any books by Ms Beers, because they never let you down. Bonus that it’s written in the first person, I love just getting one side of the story and letting myself imagine what the other is thinking rather than being told.
