A MUST HAVE FOR TODDLER PARENTS!! *Read Full Review For Important Details!*
I have a three year old who is a SNACK MONSTER! She will even climb, if necessary, to gain access to any cabinet she believes might have food/snacks/candy etc. These locks are fully adjustable with long bands that can be completely released from the loop and inner-locking mechanism. There are 2 small, hidden, pressure-point tabs on the back of each half of the lock. They are sturdy and require strong counter-pressure to loosen (or fully release) each band. The band adjustment tabs are 100% hidden from access once both parts of the lock are in place.Once the bands are re-inserted, and both halves of the lock are secured together, I highly recommend the user to tighten the bands as tight as necessary. There is a bit of learning curve to using these; but they aren't difficult to use and figuring out what works best for you should happen quickly!IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ME TO MENTION:**My toddler WAS able to figure out that she could slip the bands over knobs, essentially removing the entire lock, but that was only IF the band(s) were too loose!**This specific feature (the functionality of the fully adjustable bands) made it possible to place a lock on our refrigerator door handles [which fully connect to the fridge doors at both ends of handle].These locks have helped us safely secure the fridge as well as the pantry, AND the medicine cabinet... just in case!OTHER NOTES:**My -almost- 8year old IS strong enough to release/remove the lock [but she knows what to stay out of] so I don't suggest these for children older than maybe 5 or 6yrs old or for children with advanced hand-strength/dexterity.(I do not recommend demonstrating how to disengage the lock to anyone that doesn't NEED to know how)**For those who may have cabinets with "cup-pulls" (instead of knobs or handles) I would HIGHLY suggest the Safety 1st hidden, magnetic, lock with the magnet key. The locking mechanisms are installed inside the cabinet. They are a sleeker option if you don't want something that calls attention to itself! The magnetic keys that disengage those particular locks are SUPER strong. That feature, generally, prevents the use of regular fridge magnets as they are not typically strong enough to engage through most materials that you would apply the lock to.Overall, Safety 1st has been my tried and true, GO-TO, brand for various baby need for MANY years!

Great for double door closets
These work great on our closets. They’re easy to place and use as well as remove. I like that there is a fake button on the front so kids don’t actually know how to undo them. So far they’ve held up great without any issues.

Safety first
Easy to install on cabinets with double doors. Our cabinets have handles instead of knobs, but I think they would work just as well with that style. While the doors still open a little when my toddler pulls on them, there is no way she would be able to put her hand into the cabinet to pull anything out.The button to release the child lock is very well hidden, to the point that I struggled to find it at first. But they are very easy to open when you need to get into a cabinet. And the decoy button on the front is genius for distracting curious little ones.

Works well, not perfect design
Works to keep the kids out of stuff, but they can pull on the tightening strips and then it gets to tight and is less effective.

Works well
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Works great to keep my too-smart dog from opening the cabinet and rummaging through the garbage. If I needed more for I’d definitely order more! If you have a pest of a dog who likes to eat everything and the garbage, this is a great tool!

A must have with toddlers
These cabinet locks are a must have with an active, curious toddler. Our great granddaughter loves to get in all of our cabinets. NO, is not yet in her vocabulary. Lol They are easy to put on, easy to open for an adult when you need to get into the cabinets, they don't scratch the cabinet surface, and keep baby safe. We keep them on the lower kitchen, and bathroom cabinet doors. I would most definitely buy they again.

Waste of Money and Time
I genuinely despise the Safety 1st brand name now. From one product to the next, I have wasted money and time. This product, specifically, locked my husband and I out of our pantry. It got jammed after the second use, and we had to spend 15-20 minutes trying to get it opened. What on earth? I am so disappointed because I like the way it looks, it looks like a good design, but it is not functional. I returned this item. Other products I bought and disliked include: Safety1st toilet latches and Safety1st drawer/cabinet latches. See my specific reviews for those items on those listings.

Fake button for the win
These locks are great. We have previously tried several other types. The kids seem to be able to either break the hard plastic ones or figure out a way around them. These are easy to open if you know how to. But definitely get an adult proof if they don’t know how to use it. The fake button definitely throws everybody off.
