Expensive but so sturdy and versatile
Use it right out the box as a monitor stand but the range of motion for the arm and the mount is restricted to prevent any further tilting back. Which is good if you are worried about heavy loads impacting the sturdiness.I know this product is advertised as a monitor stand but given that the additional face plate is optional and the mount that it hooks onto is removable, this configuration is customizable to suit many needs and functions!!! These options widened the range of motion for the vesa mount and the stand arm to be of any angle between 0-180 degrees so that you get the perfect viewing position AND you get to fold it down to be flat on either side, with the vesa mount either tucked under or folded facing upwards.More importantly, the stand's tension is very high, regardless of the configuration. Even after removing/excluding two of the steel plates provided, sturdiness was not compromised. Just keep in mind that also means that you need quite a bit of force to adjust the configuration or angle so this isn't ideal for frequent collapsing or anyone with arthritis. You have the option to mount the stand base to a solid hardwood table so that the stand is fixed and super sturdy during use. For my DIY project, I am going to be this stand for a collapsible book stand/ipad stand/mini drafting table. I am going to buy another to make a DIY under desk keyboard tray that is low profile, compact, and collapsible.I am so impressed with the quality of the solid steel structure and I actually feel confident about both the sturdiness and the durability. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I think its worth it. For the price and its versatility, it is actually a better bang for your buck compared to other overpriced and low quality aluminum stands out there.

Clean and Heavy Duty
Really cleans up our FOH booth. PCs are in the equipment rack in the "back room" with the KVM receiver mounted to the back of this for a super clean setup.

great and high quality
its good, rugged, awesome. It doesn't collapse flat however if you need this for a mobile setup, as it the stand doesn't collapse flat. You can certinaly use it to lay a monitor completely flat, no problem there. But if you want to store the monitor compactfully this doesn't do that completely, it stops rotating before the hinges are totally flush so u cant store it flat. I couldn't get a hold of an Ergomart Limbo so this was the best compromise.

3 out of 5 ain't bad
3 out of 5 ain't bad. Once I got the stand in hand, I immediately noticed that it was not going to be able to fold up the way I intended. Which means making a portable monitor/all-in-one that fits in my backpack isn't gonna work. That's not the item's fault. It's still a very well made stand. but some caveats:1. Tension for the folding parts was way too high. I had to loosen the nuts so i could get the stand to unfold.2. The instruction manual (if you can call it that) is difficult to read. I think it was put through Google Translate. Plus, it was poorly printed and only in black and white, making it VERY difficult to read.3. The screws that come with the item wouldn't work for my setup. I had to use different VESA screws, nuts and other hardware to get my setup completed.4. The slat that sits on the back of the stand in order for another monitor or small computer to be mounted: MUST be flush to the stand. So, in order to use, you may require a hardware store run for proper screws/nuts.However, there are some perks to this stand:1. it is VERY strong material.2. Black. Will look good no matter your setup.3. Even with a small or light monitor, it won't move. But not too heavy to be cumbersome. It's a Goldilocks Stand. If you're willing to put some elbow grease into it, mobility isn;t a factor and spending maybe a dollar at the hardware store for some proper screws and nuts, this is a good stand. But that's a lot to ask the customer.Like I said, 3 out of 5 ain't bad.

Super sturdy. Very practical
This was a hard item to find and I don't know of anything else made. Quite like it but it absolutely blows away any other iPad stand that attempts to do something similar.
