Bought two of them.I like :12 spokes rib - other similarly priced umbrellas just have 8The umbrella is quick to dry as the fabric seems to have good water repellent qualitiesThe cover provided for the umbrella is adequate and feels well madeDislike:One of the umbrella came with a broken cap at the top. I like the umbrella, but at this stage I am unsure how long this is going to last. I just used an adhesive to fix it, to save hassle of returning.

It’s is a very good quality umbrella with good size, however, one still needs to be careful when using it in a windy day, it does flip even though the wind is not that strong. Also, it automatically opens up when pressing the button, which is convenient, but one needs to push super hard when closing it.

Found it a bit heavy

It's a bit heavy and large for a foldup brolly to fit in handbag. OK for larger bags or rucksacks etc

I recently purchased another one of these after leaving my old one on a bus! Whomever got hold of the lost one was in for a bargain. This umbrella is the best on amazon by far. Well built and sturdy. It only blew out once and that was in extremely windy weather.Don't get any other eono branded umbrellas, an alternative I had broke in a week, but this one would still be going strong if I wasn't a ditz.Good quality, good price, good features. You can't go wrong.(notice: for people with arthritus and other weakening of hands/arms, you may struggle with pushing the umbrella down into the catch when closing, it requires quite a bit of pressure/force, I typically push it into a wall or the floor to aid with this but your mileage may vary)

The media could not be loaded.  This seems a well made compact umbrella that is quite small to carry.It is reinforced to help make it stronger against the wind, but this comes at the cost of meaning that it is a little heavier compared with other umbrellas I have owned.It is automatic and can be opened swiftly with a click of the button. Pressing the button a second time automatically closes the umbrella, but you still have to manually shorten the telescopic stem towards the handle. This is quite tough as the spring is strong so it takes a bit of effort.The waterproof material is great, quick drying and folds nicely.The handle is comfortable and there is a useful wrist strap.It arrived well packaged in a polythene draw string bag.This is a good umbrella and I can recommend it.

This Eono Automatic Umbrella comes with a cover and is supplied in a plastic drawstring bag with a user guide. Folded the umbrella is about 33 cm long x 7 cm in diameter, so, compact enough for a bag or rucksack.Although the price appears quite high in my opinion it’s obvious that this umbrella is a cut above many models of a similar format. This feels like an umbrella that will last and, although quite heavy at 500g (just over 1lb), as well as relatively large when folded, the very slight extra bulk is worth it for the more resilient feel and better wind resistance.Deployment of the umbrella is a little aggressive. The 117cm canopy shoots out but is easy to retract using the same button. The handle is retracted by compressing it – a fair amount of force is required but after that, I found mine easy to furl and repack into the supplied cover. The canopy seems both waterproof and windproof as you’d expect.The profile of this umbrella seems quite shallow eg. the edges do not dip as much as some canopies – the balance being I suppose, less resistance to rain that is being blown, but covering a greater surface area and arguably offering less wind resistance.On the subject of wind resistance, there are 12 businesslike spokes that offer good wind resistance. I found the handle and wrist strap comfortable. Bearing in mind the current spells of sunny weather, this umbrella also offers 99% UV resistance and I’ve used it as a parasol although black is not ideal for reflecting the sun.Overall, this is a well-made umbrella with plenty of features, good design and robust construction to justify its slightly higher price than some competitors.

In the UK it used to be standard to carry a foldable umbrella against the rain but climate change and severely hot spells is also requiring some form of additional sun protectionHaving an umbrella designed for all weathers and to be resistant to strong winds appears to be a definite winner but how well does this unit work out in practice and how does it compare pricewise to other foldable umbrellas?Out of the box – comes in a neat EONO plastic drawstring plastic bag and an additional slip coverEase of use – release the strap holding the folded umbrella leaves – point away from you and press the button on the handle. The umbrella springs open. Collapsing is a little more tricky and there is a definite skill required to refold the umbrella to get the retaining strap round so the umbrella can go back in its storage sheathAs a sunshade – The umbrella provided excellent shade / protecting from heat , during a test during a UK red heat alert. Aone rather than a two person umbrella – doubles as a parasolAgainst rain – Awaiting any rain here in SW England for weeks now – will report later when we get to ScotlandIn strong winds – See comments for rain!These are preliminary views and the unit will get some severe weather testing in the Hebrides and round Ireland later in the year and will be reported then.Apart from the issues refolding / re storing the umbrella, this is an excellent unit at a reasonable price ( which increased 30% since received for test)So-long as you can hack the collapsing refolding, a 4-5 star umbrellaNOTE added - the wife informs me this is a common problem with collapsible umbrellas and has provided me with training ! She did comment however that the top button does not seem to be fixed down completely
