1) I have sciatic nerve pain in my foot and leg every single day. If you are on any pain medication in the HYDROCODONE family (examples: Vicodin, Norco, Oxcodone, Oxycontin, Methadone, etc.), please do everything you can to quit and find different solutions. Hydrocodone causes cells to the increase their numbers of pain receptors. This causes you to feel way more pain than you ordinarily would feel than if you were not on hydrocodone. That means hydrocodone causes you to have more pain--the very problem it is trying to solve! As soon as I read research publications on NCBI (I have background in microbiology/cell biology), I quit cold turkey. After that, I had the least nerve pain I've ever had. If you give your body a few weeks without hydrocodone, it will reduce the number of pain receptors, which will make you feel less pain. Then, it will produce its own endorphins (your body's own natural painkillers) to combat the pain. When you are on hydrocodone, your body depends on the drugs for pain relief and slows its own endorphin production, weakening your body's natural ability to fight pain. I switched to Tramadol, which is a weak opioid receptor agonist. At first, it will feel not that effective, but after your body is weaned off hydrocodone, it will work. Just remember to give it at least an hour to work. I also started taking LifePak Nano twice a day. This significantly reduced my pain because it provides all the nutrients your body needs to help itself. I have been using Sombra ever since a physical therapist introduced it to me as an alternative to BioFreeze, as they thought it gave better results. This stuff is like industrial strength Ben-Gay. Don't make the mistake I did on my first use as it does not start its relief immediately, it takes a few minutes, so I applied a second, generous application of it and then boy did it kick in. Heat can reactivate it as experienced by my brother-in-law, who put some on one night and the next day went riding on his motorcycle and he noticed his ankles getting hot as the heat from his exhaust re-activated the capascin that is in it. He still asks me for some when his shoulder is aching. This last purchase was for my father-in-law who had been using Myoflex for his shoulder and tried some of my Sombra I carry with me on trips. I left him my travel jar of it and he later called asking where I got it. I just ordered him a pump quart bottle of it and had it delivered using my Prime membership. I have given so much of it to friends and family, I can't keep small travel sized jars to put it in. It does have a strong "aroma" (probably from the menthol) that subsides after a few minutes. It also lingers on the hands for quite some time in case you touch a sensitive area (e.g. the eyes) that one needs to be aware of. Some might want to apply using gloves for this reason, I rarely do. It does work for chronic muscle or back pain, there is the cool therapy for recent injuries. I used to buy it by the gallon when my rotator cuff was really giving me pain, but now only buy the quart size bottle with the pump. Really great stuff. I recommend it to all my friends and family, so much so I may need to go back to the gallon size.

While undergoing PT for a back problem, my PT recommended Sombra. We bought a smaller size to try it out, and soon ordered the dispenser 32-ounce size. Very good, pleasant scented. Caution: if you are looking for a mild-sensation cream, try this one on a small area first-it really goes to work and feels very warm on the application area. Works great!
