I purchased this set for the specific purpose of servicing my Bosch CX Gen 4 e-bike motor, whose mounting plates had come loose slightly causing a horrendous creak. The Torx Plus bits have a slightly different profile from standard Torx and you can really tell the difference when torquing the bolts up - no point risking a rounded fastener for the sake of not having the right tool, well worth the investment.

I previously purchased an alternative which was cheaper, the bit snapped on use so Amazon returned it with no hassle. I then purchased this set to unscrew a security screw holding up my ECU on my Rav4 as it was playing up. Not only did the set have all the sizes needed it was robust enough to unscrew the heavily tightened security screws. This set is tucked away in my shed at present as it is a rarity that these screws are found. Nevertheless in the event that I need them I can rely on the quality, it comes in a sturdy case and includes an adapter. This set is just perfect.

I bought these to dismantle something else I bought from Amazon that was difficult to mount without having full access to all the mounting holes. There was a cheaper choice but this set looked better, I've used Laser tools for working on my car and they are not bad for the money. I also liked the smart little case. The bits look accurately made compared to some cheaper brands - the lobes are even to the naked eye and feel secure when driving. The only thing I don't like is the case has a flap of creased plastic for a hinge - while this does make it totally flush and doesn't protrude, in my experience this type of hinge is far less durable than a proper hinge with a steel rod. Sooner than later the case will need to be held shut with an elastic band.

Beautiful set of rare bits, don’t cheap out. You need this torx plus kit!

This set contains some of the more unusual Torx bits ie Torx Plus and Torx Plus five lobe security, i used this set on arrival and was able to progress the job i was working on. In my job i often come across obscure and sometimes obsolete fastener types and i am sure that this set will come in handy in the future. This is my first purchase of Laser tools and i was impressed with the quality and range of this set and will be looking to see what other tools they offer.

If you need a Torx Plus set for general use then this one’s is good. I used it to tighten the motor bolts (large and small) on a Bosch CX Gen 4 mid drive bike motor.
