Garage door censer.
This item worked like it was supposed to. It blocked the sun from the censer from the sun so it would close the door.

Broke when installing because plastic is too brittle/thin.
Product broke while installing due to being too thin/brittle. I didn’t over tighten the nut , it’s just that brittle.

Good idea, but didn't work for me
Bottom line: These are well designed, but didn't fix my problem. That's not their fault, and they may work for you.For the last six months, our east-facing garage door has refused to go down on sunny mornings when I'm using the push-button controllers we keep in the cars. Sometimes I can stand with my shadow over the source beam side (for our system, that has a yellow LED on the side) and it will work, sometimes not. And it works fine in the afternoon or night, so it's clearly a sunlight problem. Before I got these sun shields, I tried other things. The batteries in the controllers are fine (as evidenced by the fact that the door starts down, then stops and the light on the closer flashes). I carefully aligned the two sides--the part on one side of the garage door that sends the IR beam, and the part on the other side that is the sensor (the latter has an LED that should glow steady green when the to parts are aligned), and cleaned the lenses. But in sunlight, the best I can do is to get it to flicker slightly; in the dark, it's a steady green. So it's aligned. Then I tried makeshift shades over the beam end, to no effect.I saw these shades on Amazon; they're certainly well designed, very easy to attach, and easy to align so they don't block the beam. But the green LED on the sensor still flickers when the sun is shining, and the door won't go down using the push button controllers in the cars. (If you hold down the button on the hard-wired controller in the garage, it will go down, although it complains.)My best guess is that the sensor and/or the beam are going bad. But these shades are well designed and a lot easier (and cheaper) than replacing the sensors, so worth a try. I hesitated between 3 stars and 4, but have no way to know whether they'd usually fix the problem--I only know it didn't in my case. And I'll install them with the new sensors.

Didn't fix my problem
The product itself was good-a good printed material at reasonable resolution. But, it didn't fix my weak garage door sensors at all. I ordered new sensors. That was the problem-the sun was too bright for my sensors because my sensors were weak and worn out.

Product broke on install
When I tried to attach the sensor protector to my sensor, the protector snapped on installation. This product seems to also be manufactured in China unlike every other option. I will be going with another option!
