Well made comfortable chair
I have been looking for a wooden arm chair made of natural solid wood to avoid synthetic fabrics/cushions, flame retardants, or chemical smells. This chair seemed expensive but I wasn't finding anything else that fit my requirements so decided to try it. It seems very well made and my husband and I are pleased with the quality. I'm 5'7 and find it very comfortable. There was only a slight odor from the finish the first day after unpacking it; by the next day it was fine. It does come fully assembled in a very big box so be prepared for that if you have to carry it up or down stairs.

Defective Product
Arrived defective. Scratches on the entire leg of one side and cracked at one of the arms.No amount of Old English Furniture Scratch Remover covers the damage.I have a severe cardiac condition. It is impossible for me to return such a big and heavy chair to you.Please send me a replacement chair free of charge.I have taken photos of the damaged areas. Chair returned due to shipping damage
This would otherwise be a good sturdy chair. However it was shipped with no internal cushioning on the cardboard box and was not double boxed. minor external damage to the box caused one side armrest to break off.Item returned Fed Ex 25th Jan 21

Just What The Doctor Ordered
I just had complete left-hip replacement and have been instructed to use a chair with arms to help me stand without straining the hip. I originally ordered it in cherry finish, but that was canceled. I re-ordered in the natural and find it matches our kitchen table and other chairs to a T. It is sturdy, attractive, and has a large enough seat to handle my special orthopedic cushion without overhang. This captain is comfortable and feels in command in this well made captain's chair.

Good solid chair
We received the giant box in time for the holidays and a perfect distraction for my 5-year-old nephew. The chair is sturdy enough for my 250 lb father with Parkinsons to sit in and to raise himself up. Not too large or small; fits right in with other chairs bought at World Market.

Assembled, sturdy, and color I wanted. Nice height.
Came assembled and very well packed. The sturdiness, color, and height were perfect. I purchased a second chair. Needed 2 to begin with but ordered 1 to see what I hot and to make it easier in case I had to return it.

Excellent Product
This chair looks exactly like the picture and is very heavy. Best of all it comes completely assembled. That is a very real perk for me. The solid would is also an important part of this purchase. It's not at all, in any part, an imitation or man made wood. Great job people!
